It doesn’t look like Dish Network is using Charlie Rose, C-SPAN, or Firing Line as models for the program it will air on October 2, the night before the first presidential debate. The satellite company calls its special with Glenn Beck and former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer The War Of The Words. And it introduced the event at a press conference today by inviting boxing MC Michael Buffer to stand in the middle of a mock ring and to deliver his catchphrase — “Let’s get ready to rumble!” — as he brought out what he called the “heavyweights on the right and the left.” They’ll square off in front of a live audience for the broadcast, which will be offered on Dish’s channel 102 and streamed online at www.facebook.com/DISH. It will promote Dish’s pickup yesterday of Beck’s TheBlaze online video content as well as Current TV, where the Spitzer hosts a weeknight talk show: Viewpoint With Eliot Spitzer. Dish CEO Joseph Clayton says that his company ”offers more political programming than anyone else.” TheBlaze is included DISH’s America’s Top 250 package; Current TV is included in America’s Top 200 package. Both also can be purchased a la carte for $5 a month starting later this month.

Wow you can subscribe to the Glenn Beck channel or Current alacarte for $5 each month? This seems like big news. I wonder what other channels are available this way; Dish excites me with their experimentation while the others are just playing it safe protecting the status quo.
Is Spitzer broke. Why is he going to debate a former morning zoo guy? This is sad.
It’s because Spitzer needs the publicity from the third most watched and listended to person in America – Beck. Beck can buy and sell Spitzer about 50 times over with the money he’s making – and it’s actually all legitimate.
Are there no credible political pundits out there?
Beck will BURY Spitzer
Beck belongs is a straight jacket, I can not think of one thing he has said in the last couple of years that makes any cents. He couldn’t even make it at Fox, they thought he was a nut to. I would not waste my time on this program.
Glenn Beck has made a lot of sense through the years, recently too. People think he is nuts because a lot of what he says is true. Like the FEDERAL RESERVE for instance. And George Soros etc. He exposes a lot.
Like the time he was calling Obama a socialist and then admitted to using a library and public school! Two socialist programs.
comment by phil, unfortuatly i can remember most all of glenn’s shows & much of what he has said over the years have come true. I started DVR them so never missed the last couple of years. He was making it fine at FOX, he chose to go elsewhere.
Your an idiot. He was forced to leave fox because the left couldn’t stand what he was saying and he was being pushed from the outside to leave. There were false accusation of him lieing to the public and it took 2 years to show any points of evidence. His demise, saying someone was a felon when all they did was serve prison time. Fox wanted him there. Read about it before making stupid remarks.
I got rid of my dish network when I heard they were sponsoring Beck’s show. I will never go back to those people.
I watched the debate, what I saw was a professional attorney auguring his case against a moron. At one point Glen said ” the 3 things you have to remember is one the federal reserve, two is the the unemployment is higher then reported, and three well I don,t remember the third thing but those are the three things you have to remember. lol
Yet another reason to avoid Dish Network!
I guess some of these people, who comments against Glenn Beck, would rather rely on Media Matters or Mainstream Media as a source for information they base their decisions on when deciding how to vote?
Me thinks they duth protest too much!!
I watch Glenn Beck all the time. He will annihilate Spitzer, hands down. Let’s go Glenn Beck!!!
