Fox News Channel today chose to run segments on Iran, a U.S. Navy build-up in the Pacific and a cat losing weight rather than go live to President Obama’s speech to the Clinton Global Initative. Earlier this morning, the network did show Mitt Romney’s speech there live. CNN and MSNBC also went live with Romney’s appearance, but those two networks showed Obama live as well. FNC mustered some Obama highlights from the event later in the day. All the channels did show Obama’s speech to the UN General Assembly today live.

FoxNews is a joke. They’re a ultra-right wing station that doesn’t report the real news. They live in fantasy land where they believe the top 1% should have the right to piss all over everyone that’s beneath them.
Rob, they report the news equally as well as CNN or MSNBC or NPR or ABC or CBS or NBC or the NY Times, the LA Times or any of the left leaning outlets, just from a different perspective. The fact is that there is no objective reporting of the news anywhere (sad though that may be), which is why an informed consumer will read or watch as much as they are able from both sides and determine for themselves what they think is the truth. It is unfortunate that we cannot trust media to be objective an unbiased, but knowing what the conditions are we can choose to weigh the facts for ourselves. Hopefully you so choose though based on your comment I somehow doubt that you do.
Jerry T – oh, that the Congress and most of the country would be as informed and objective as you, that they would weigh the many options and do what was best for the Country in the long term. I fear, though, that our society may never return to those civil times. But look on the bright side, 250 years is a pretty good reign for a Democracy. Not quite as long as Rome, but a pretty good run nonetheless.
No they don’t Jerry. The article proves that they don’t.
It clearly shows how much Fox manipulates their audience. From editing to misleading commentary, if what you mean by “different perspective” is twisting facts, then you are correct.
They must have known Obama’s speech was going to be better than Romney’s to have done this.
You’re right Tom. This one piece on an entertainment blog proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Fox News is some nefarious right wing propaganda tool and that every other news organization is absolutely unbiased. Well said Tom. You’re a genius.
Ratso, “one piece!?!” Are you serious? Every leaked memo out of that place proves it is a right wing shill. The memo telling their reporters to refer to the public option as the “so-called public option” (they don’t say so-called public schools or so-called public libary). Or the memo instructing their reporters to “refrain from asserting that the planet has warmed (or cooled) in any given period without IMMEDIATELY pointing out that such theories are based upon data that critics have called into question.” In other words, follow the GOP party line and tell their viewers that global warming isn’t real.
Scott McLellan, George Bush’s White House Press Secretary, admitted in his book that they fed talking points to Faux News and they reported them verbatim. Or, my favorite, editing out the applause during the President’s West Point speech. Yes, Fakes News is a right wing propaganda tool. I wish you Fixed News viewers would just face reality; it’s really not so bad.
DON’T WORRY LIBERALS, YOU HAVE ALL THE OTHER CHANNELS COVERING YOUR DEMI-GOD
I thought I was reading Deadline, not The Huffington Post.
This isn’t a story, and unless you are going to run an article everytime MSNBC skips a Romney speech, blatant bias.
Quit with the bias – half your readers are Romney supporters.
A bias towards Mitt Romney and against Obama? No, who would have ever thought? I mean, it’s not like Mitt Romney’s staff doesn’t also employ contributors and analysts for Fox news… oh wait, they do.
Thats because they ran Obama at the U.N. apologizing for free speech and bowing to tyrants. There was no need to show Obama a second time.
Oh please, you’re complaining about Obama getting slighted by the media? Hilarious. Obviously you missed the big wet kiss Barbara Walters and her acolytes gave to Barack and Michelle on “The View” today, which was previewed on “Good Morning America” in a segment where Barbara breathlessly recounted how the president arrived on set with–and here’s where her voice quiverred–a birthday present for her! Kind of hard to imagine ABC giving a similar valentine to Romney, or for that matter any Republican ever. And obviously you missed Obama on Letterman’s couch yet again last week (because who says a president has to make time for governing)–an appearance that was every bit a campaign spot. For legal reasons, let’s hope Dave declared it as a contribution in an FEC filing.
Hey, FOXNews, ignoring Obama won’t make him go away. You’ll see that real soon (about 44 days from now). But give us 4 more years, and maybe we can make FOXNews go away. Okay, Conservatives, go at it!!
You’re kidding me right. Every…and I mean every other news outlet is so in bed with Obama it is an embarrassment to journalism and this is what you find to report on. Really. Wow. I just hope and pray that someone will comment on this article using Faux News. That is so clever when people do that. One out of the many many news organizations leans right and people think it isn’t “real” news. I love the left. So predictable.
The same goes for all of the ultra left wing liberal media outlets…which would be all of the others. What responsibility do they have to show any Obama lie filled speech. Just because he speaks, which he does non stop, does not require any mandatory attention. Worst president in history of this country hands down. Why are liberals so mean, angry and hateful?
Why are conservatives so divorced from reality? It’s okay to step outside of your 1950′s bubble and join the rest of us in the 21st century.
Wow, never thought I would see this kind of comment here, hilarious.
Was there any ever mention of MSNBC cutting away from minority speakers at the RNC, then complaining that there weren’t any minorities there? Meanwhile, I think Romney speaking at a Clinton event is a little more newsworthy than your average political stump speech.
Uhm. Yes. It was a fairly big story that rained down a ton of heat on MSNBC, as it should have.
The partisans on both sides who comment on every article with hypocritical pablum are part of the problem, not the solution.
It was all over the internet. They called msnbc racist. Even though fox news did the same thing. They did not show any minorities either but one. You want to say anything about that, fault both.
Fox News needs to be banned from the White House press briefing room and from all governmental press functions on the grounds that they have repeatedly demonstrated they are not a legitimate news organization but merely the media arm of the Republican Party. Notice they do not bother to call themselves fair and balanced anymore, because even their idiot viewers know it’s a lie. Boycott the sponsors.
Good for Fox News.
Why, because you approve of networks being biased?
The hypocrisy of both sides is hilarious, quite frankly. It was predictable that you’d get people from the left railing on Fox News and people on the right whining about the “media elite” being in bed with Obama.
From a somewhat objective perspective (I’m not American), I can tell you that Fox News is by far the worst network out there. There are countless studies that show that Fox News viewers are the worst informed, and a lot of that is due to that network. Of course, the other networks aren’t a whole lot better. Conservatives who complain about the left leaning networks have to remember how NO ONE questioned anything the Bush government did for the longest time, something I can’t see Fox News doing.
But, really, if you want real news, don’t watch American news, which is all money driven and the truth is less sought after than ratings.
What the hell deadline? Why are you promoting Obama so much and attacking Romney? What stake do you have in this election? MSNBC favors coverage of Obama over Romney all the time and doesn’t get any mention here.
Wouldn’t it work to the advantage of FoxNews if Obama was re-elected? It goes without saying that most mainstream news outlets are really just a hybrid of entertainment + journalism. And conflict is entertaining. And wouldn’t MSNBC prefer to see Romney win?
Good point. Anecdotally, Rush Limbaugh has been at his most popular when Clinton and Obama were in office.
Fail and Unbalanced.
Why is anyone surprised by this news? Since Day 1, Fox News has slanted the story to fit a specific agenda. As the tribe asks, “Why is today different from all other days?”
The disagreements are what keeps this Republic great. A balance of opinions and a swing from one party to the next in Presidential election year victories is, in the long run, a good thing for America. I don’t love all the politicians; but I love this country.
