EXCLUSIVE: Fox went All In, handing a put pilot commitment to a single-camera comedy written by Allan Loeb, who is executive producing with his producing partner Ryan Reynolds. All In, from 20th Century Fox TV and Loeb and Reynolds’ studio-based DarkFire TV, is a character-driven comedy centering on Tommy Vigorish, a compulsive gambler trying to get back in the game with the help of his family… as long as that game does not involve the exchange of money. Reynolds and Loeb executive produce the project with DarkFire TV’s two other principals, Jonathon Komack Martin and Steven Pearl.
This marks the first live-action writing effort for Loeb since the launch of DarkFire TV last year. He is co-writing with Reynonds And Then There Was Gordon, an animated comedy in the works at Fox. Loeb, co-creator of the high-concept 2008 Fox drama New Amsterdam, had been focused largely on features for the past several years, before starting the TV company. His film credits include Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Just Go With It and Rock Of Ages. Outside of the 20th TV deal, DarkFire TV recently set up Between Park & Lex, a dramedy written by Maria Maggenti, at ABC. Loeb and Reynolds are with CAA.

Loeb is the nicest guy in the business and deserves the success.
Al loeb….. good for him, beyond deserving. Beautiful person
I completely agree. A total vegan mensch.
The “using a famous person as one of your auspices” series trend continues. In the old vanity deal conception at least the idea was, OK pretend to develop other stuff until we have a project to put them in…I don’t see what the upside is in these arrangements with movie actors. Do they actually think “from Executive Producer Ryan Reynolds” will matter to people? Well I guess they can get press out of it, and take meetings with movie stars. Smart move by agents to leverage a name into more cash, until studios realize it’s a total waste of money.
Did Michael Diamond help sell this?
All the luck with this. But please do not name the main character with gambling problem “Vigorish”. Unless it’s his nickname. Please. I beg.
Tommy Vigorish? Why not just call him Johnny Cardshark? Or Chip Stacker? Or I.C. Bluffer?
Heard Diamond was essential.
Once he went Vegan, Loeb’s been on a real writing tear. Plus the Diamond thing helps.
Loeb and Reynolds, two guys trading on their he man good looks.
I thought Poker reached its apex a few years ago. Seems a bit late to the party.
Deck Stackard…
