EXCLUSIVE: Sources tell me Executive Director of Original Programming and Development Daysun Perkins was let go from GSN last week. The exit occurred just days after he asked the court to dismiss a sexual discrimination suit he’d filed in March against CBS Television Distribution, where he had been the Director of Development from 2003-2008, after he and CBS came to a confidential settlement on the matter. Perkins had been at GSN since May 2010. Before that, he spent just over a year as VP Development at Eyeworks USA, producers of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition and Spike’s Bar Rescue among others.
Deadline's Dominic Patten - tip him here.

Men fail upwards in this joint, time and time again. He’ll be grand!
GSN is run by some of the worst and nastiest people in the business. They finally got their act together with record ratings behind Daysun’s shows, but those arrogant pricks let him go. Hope he sues them for a lot of money.
I have known Daysun for many many years. He is a great guy and a superb development executive. I cannot believe GSN let him go, he was a rare thing at that network, a success!!!
The loser in this game is not Daysun, it’s GSN. Daysun is a really smart guy who knows game show development better than anyone. He’ll be back selling great formats to bigger networks before they even have time to replace him.
Hey folks – Perkins was interviewing for a gig at CBS when he was still at GSN. Perkins filed suit at CBS for discrimination.
If Perkins was looking at other opps and it got out, due to him filing a suit – would you keep him?
I’m confused, are you implying that a person shouldn’t look at all his options while he’s in a position? Some times you have to move out to move up. Right?
