There had been speculation that Jason Sudeikis would depart the Saturday Night Live cast following in the footsteps of Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Abby Elliott, all of whom left after last season. NBC confirmed today however that Sudeikis is staying put at least until January meaning he will be around to reprise his roles as GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Vice President Joe Biden during the election season — and for those two primetime political specials SNL has set for later this month.
