The Talent Managers Association announced today that they will bestow the Seymour Heller Award for Lifetime Achievement in Management to Lenny Hirshan of Leonard Hirshan Management at the 11th annual Heller Awards being held on October 2nd at the Universal Sheraton. Hirshan spent 50 years as an agent at the William Morris Agency and then left to form his own management company where he represented clients such as Sophia Loren, Angela Lansbury and Stu Rosenberg, and has served as the exclusive representative of longtime client Clint Eastwood. “I had no interest or intention to produce,” Hirshan has said in the past. “I am strictly a manager in the truest sense of the word.”

Congragulations Lenny!
Congragulations Lenny! You’ve earned this.
This is so disappointing as Lenny was not ever really a manager but a brilliant agent. When he left the Morris office he was in the autumn of his career. There are many more amazing and longtime truly effective managers who should have been picked for this award!!! Too bad!
Lenny is a class act-terrific agent and manager. A true mentor and great friend.
Well deserved honor long overdue for one of the most modest professionals I’ve ever known.
Congrats Hirshan!
A living legend! Congrats Lenny!
Well deserved. Never thought of Lennie as a manager but as a formidable agent. Congrats from Rome.
Lenny is a wonderful guy and a true professional. As for the TMA… are they still in business? Have you ever seen their list of affiliates? What a joke. Not one major management company or manager would find themselves being associated with this group. I’m happy for Lenny; but an award from the TMA is like winning a participation ribbon at a local pie bake off. Unfortunately… this award is about the TMA selling tickets and that’s the truth.
