  • What do you mean too late? My whole family watches the show and i’ve been an audience member there a dozen times. Im not crazy about the choice but i like Kelly and Michael together and i think this will take the show to newer places as it is getting older.

  • Funny because Michael Strahan appeals more to housewives of all demos as a result of his stint on Dancing With The Stars. He doesn’t register highly with African American viewers.

    This isn’t an attempt to lure AA viewers.

  • It is not a matter of color of ones skin. The most approved audition is the character compatible with Kelly Ripa. Michael Strahan was chosen. So what, African Americans loved this show regardless of who the host and co-host were and are. There is nothing fake about how these people appeal to us. • Michael is an EXCELLENT choice!! NY loves him, he is one of the most humble charismatic “celebs” you could ever meet, and his race doesn’t matter. Kudos to him and this next chapter.

• Very disappointed with the choice. With so many great choices: yuk! Won’t be watching any more. Thought Gelman was smarter. When they spanned the crowd today, many were not clapping.

• Not a good choice as her husband would have been a better fit and the commute is going to be hell on him, but one thing still stays the same…her being constantly annoying, but now with someone else having to listen to her drivel.

• i think its a bold move for ABC and Live with Kelly’s producer. good for them to think out of the box. Will it hurt ratings probably not. People who have been watching are watching because of Kelly not the co-host. Will more blacks watch than whites probably not. All in all its not going to hurt ratings only help. And the chemistry is right on! Her husband and her together on the show is cute but if permanent it would ruin their marriage. She proly said i cant live and work with him. TOO MUCH TIME TOGETHER! If ratings do fall he can always say the commute was to much for him to manage and he wants to spend more time with the family. easy was out unlike what they did to Ann Curry at the Today show. Im sure a lot of thinking went into the choice of Michael as co-host. Big decisions like that arent made over night and it was getting old that a choice had not been made. Michael will do fine and once both of them are used to each other its going to work like a well written symphony. Congrats mike, no one saw it coming but months ago i did see a special chemistry between the two. Good luck, keep some ibuprofen nearby. Kelly is sweet as pie, but sometimes to much sugar gives one a headache

• I love Michael Strayhan, I didn’t think at first I would but after watching a few episodes, I won’t miss the show, they are a great fit and both their personalities are superb . Kelly is a real doll and I have always loved her.
  I have four Daughters and they tape it, so they can watch it when they get home from work! All my friends do the same!
  Texas loves you all! Keep up the good work!!
