Top Chef producer Magical Elves has promoted Jo Sharon to SVP Development. She had been Head of Development, where she was behind NBC’s Fashion Star, CBS’ 3 and Bravo’s Gallery Girls and also oversaw development of the premium YouTube channel The Stylish. Her more recent projects include Style’s Betsey And Lulu and Cold Justice, a partnership with Dick Wolf in development at TNT. She joined Magical Elves in 2010 after stints at Nash Entertainment, Renegade 83 and IMG Entertainment under now-Starz president Chris Albrecht.

Jo is terrific to work with. Congratulations!
Go Jo!
Great lady. Great move for the Elves! Congrats to Jo!!!
Jo is a wonderful producer with fantastic instincts both creatively and politically. This promotion is well deserved. It’s wonderful to see good people win in Hollywood.
They promoted the person responsible for the debacle that is ‘Fashion Star’? Seriously?
The title alone shows a tremendous lack of creativity.
“Gallery Girls” is terrible as well and might as well be call “American’s Next Real Housewife” as these girls are just primed to be on RH of The OC in 10 years.
Magical Elves is responsible for the amazing Top Chef so don’t promote someone who’s putting out something so beyond sub par. Keep the brand strong!
wouldn’t delivering a show with a cast that acts like a hit show cast but YOUNGER be a good thing?
do u work in the business? or are u an agent at APA?
i have worked with jo for years 5+ years, and she is the best!
Jo is one of the best in town…she is a great executive and great person.
Those shows all tanked in the ratings and this is another great example of failing up. At least she’s very attractive!

It’s hard to sell shows, so if she created any of these, give her credit. But would you brag about developing fashion star…good product placement, but very derivative and not an entertaining show and 3…an israeli format that got pulled after 2 episodes. I’d say development failed there.
Much deserved promotion! Jo is a strong, passionate executive with a great eye for talent and she knows how to cultivate real relationships which puts her heads above a lot of dev execs out there. Go Jo!
Class act. Smart as a whip. Excellent sense of humor. And has survived some of the most rotten places in the development world. The Elves are lucky to have her. Xxx
Go JoJo!! Great work ethic, great personality, very happy to hear it!!
Jo is brilliant and one of the few genuine people I have worked with in this industry. She is a hardworking exec and an amazing person, and she completely deserves this!
You have extraordinary talent at spotting talent Joe!
