Disney is in negotiations with David Slade to direct Matched, an adaptation of the Ally Condie young-adult novel. The book series revolves around a girl in a dystopian future where choice is taken away, and a young woman falls in love with a guy she has not been matched with. Kieran and Michelle Mulroney (Sherlock Holmes 2) wrote the script and Offspring’s Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman are producing. The third book in the series, Reached, will be published in November by Penguin. Slade directed 30 Days Of Night and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and was supposed to direct Daredevil before backing out to direct the pilot for Hannibal. He is repped by WME and Anonymous Content.

ok if disney is producing it, i honeslty hope that it turns out good. I just finished reading Matched within two days and i really enjoyed it…like i honestly loved it, but if the movie dosen’t give it justice people arent going to go out and buy the book. Trust me im nto a reader, i only read whats good, and whats shown as good…therefor MAKE THE MOVIE AMAZING

Disney has made pretty good movies such as:
The Avengers, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Alice in Wonderland(the recent version), Tron:Legacy, Pirates of the Carribean Movies, The Chronicles of Narnia, National Treasure, etc. I had my doubts too, but not so much anymore.

All of the books in the trilogy are good, so you can all sut up and chill out. The Crossed is making the transition between Matched and Reached, so if you think that Crossed is boring, it’s not, because of what it has set up for the Reached story line.
