Last night’s Sunday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers averaged a 13.9 rating/23 share in metered-market households. That was down 23% from the record-setting SNF season premiere last Sunday and down 11% from the Week 2 game last year between the Eagles and Falcons, which featured Michael Vick.
Still, NBC dominated Sunday against mostly repeats. CBS had its first official 7:30 PM primetime start, following a late football game. There was an extra 7-minute delay, which scrambled the network’s ratings a bit, but Big Brother is expected to maintain the approximate 2.3/6 fast national rating in adults 18-49, following a football-inflated 60 Minutes (3.2/9), which is expected to be adjusted down. Everything else last night was reruns.
