Nikki,
Will they be providing you with individual theater grosses???? I believe it provided via their “Boxoffice Essentials” program. It is wonderful that they chose to link up with you!!!
What I wanna know is if this partnership will affect Nikki’s Friday night weekend estimates? That’s how I originally found Deadline and still visit the site late Friday’s to find out how movies are doing (though the competition has started doing this too). I would hate for this partnership to forbid those Friday estimates.
I don’t think it will, because what happens with Rentrak is that their numbers are updated continuously all day, so Nikki probably will still be able to give estimates based on how well the movies have done up until that point in the weekend.
Smart move on Finkes part. Rentrak is the leading source of information lead by a great team. Good to know that the information you are getting on the grosses comes from a reliable source and not some half crocked org.
