  • Dumb. And still, four years later, Obama gets the kid glove treatment from so-called comedians.

    • Kinda like the kid glove treatment Bush 44 got. I remember ’02-’03 when Leno was still doing Clinton jokes and rednecks were steamrolling Dixie Chicks CDs in the Walmart parking lot. You righties make me sick. I can’t wait ’till you get crushed on November 6th.

      • It was “Bush 43″ Einstein.

    • wow…I wonder who you’re voting for…HAHAHA

  • Love Jay… But that wasn’t a very good Obama. It was barely passable. Having said that — it was 1000 times better than Armisen ever did with Obama.

Anyone else think Fred did not look happy at all handing off the torch.

Comment by Barry — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 8:16am PDT  Reply to this post
  • Thanks for giving this up Fred, once he relaxes jay will really master this. The bones are so there.

  • Jay Pharoah is really just Frank Caliendo all over again. If they can’t do impressions, these guys are worthless.

Comment by Anonymous — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 9:07am PDT  Reply to this post
    • Like Darrell Hammond before him, he was hired for his impressions.

Comment by caley — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 12:34pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • I watched it and the Romney jokes just weren’t funny. I think he has said things that would have been funnier.

Comment by lsb — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 10:20am PDT  Reply to this post
  • I really enjoyed the Obama sketch. But I hope SNL’s writers do more with Romney than just turn him into a watered-down version of Ferrell’s George W. Bush.

Comment by Bob — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 2:18pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • Did people really think Jay did a good Obama? It was awful. Let’s have Fred back, please. At least Fred mastered the cadences and speech patterns of Obama. I don’t find Jay very funny in general, but then again, I never thought Jimmy Fallon was all that funny either.

Comment by Joe Schmo — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 2:39pm PDT  Reply to this post
    • Is it me or is his Obama impression a little Bill Cosby-ish? (minus the sweater and the jello eferences of course).

Comment by blessedinLA — Tuesday September 18, 2012 @ 2:39pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • Fred Armisen is a lot better Obama. This seems to be a Political Correctness stunt…and not done because Jay Pharoah is any funnier

Comment by DancingElkCondor — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 8:30pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • That was a terrible job on Obama – vapid – no bite at all, and even worse Romney and Ryan.

It does show what the liberal leaning comedians SNL hope to do to Romney/Ryan. Also called wishful thinking.

People (that I talk to even here in CA) are seriously fed up with Obama and his team and can’t wait to vote against him.

Comment by Myudita — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 9:19pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • The best impressions aren’t just copying every speech pattern… its better to create a cartoon, like Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, and Will Ferrell did. This guy is fairly accurate with Obama but its simply not funny.

Comment by ryan in l.a. — Sunday September 16, 2012 @ 10:42pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • Phil Hartman’s Bill Clinton in McDonalds skit was a classic.

Comment by brick — Monday September 17, 2012 @ 8:50pm PDT  Reply to this post
    • Boy, I miss Phil Hartman. He was one of the best!

Comment by blessedinLA — Tuesday September 18, 2012 @ 2:52pm PDT  Reply to this post
  • I still have never seen an Obama impersonator really make fun of how conceited and arrogant Obama is. I want to see the “cheesy” toothy smile, the bouncing down the airplane stairs, hot-doggin, ‘stylin, profilin, Obama.
