TNT continues with its pickups of summer series. The network has renewed legal dramedy Franklin & Bash for a third season. Starring Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Franklin & Bash averaged 4.3 million viewers in its new Tuesday 10 PM timeslot, up 10% over its first season. The buddy drama also averaged 1.8 million adults 18-49 and 2.0 million adults 25-54. “Franklin & Bash, with its winning cast and some of the sharpest dialogue on television, is a refreshingly clever, light-hearted take on the courtroom drama” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT. Franklin & Bash is produced by FanFare Prods. in association with Sony Pictures TV. Jamie Tarses, Jason Ensler and co-creators Kevin Falls and Bill Chais serve as executive producers. Franklin & Bash joins TNT’s recently renewed rookies Dallas, Major Crimes and Perception as well as Rizzoli & Isles, Falling Skies and Southland, which also have snagged renewals. Still awaiting word is veteran Leverage.

Yeah! Its about time TNT announced its renewal. I love this show!
Good thing. Otherwise I was fully prepared to go all Franklin & Bash on them.
Hopefully they get more episodes next year, ten a year won’t lead to selling reruns, even ION needs more than that to pick up the reruns
excellent news. bill chais on of the really good guys in the business
Bill is definitely one of the nicest guys in the business — an authentic “good guy”. So good to see him to well.
Congrats to Bill Chais. Such a great guy.
Such a dreadful show, maybe the lamest writing on TV. But I guess its numbers just do limbo under that low TNT bar.
You must not watch too much TV.
Now we wait on Leverage – wonder if the pick up on Ion for reruns might help in it’s favor.
Hope the pick up “THE GREAT ESCAPE”. That show rocked!
And know nothing about tv ratings…
Glad it got renewed for its 3rd season, but why only 10 episodes? Should be at least 20 a season…
Really good news!
I run hot and cold on leverage but this last season was good. Like to see it back. I seem to tire relatively easily of the cable summer shows but I have watched most of them.
This show never became what it promised… (Neither did TNT).
What a great show. I have been anxious to see what the writers and producers has for us for this upcoming season. Great show!
