Lionsgate bought U.S. distribution rights to Imogene, the Kristen Wiig-Annette Bening dysfunctional comedy. They had been rumored as the buyers yesterday, but the sellers of the film put me off saying they were just one of several bids, and that will never happen again. The film played at Toronto to okay reaction last weekend. Lionsgate will put it out with Roadside Attractions, as they did last year with Margin Call.
Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman directed the script by Michelle Morgan.

Wiig is on fire.
saw the movie in toronto, very very funny, great characters. will be a nice success!
Is that Annette Bening on the poster?! She looks 10 years younger!
They also picked up the movie she was in last year at TIFF, Friends With Kids, which I loved. Am really looking forward to this. Wiig is awesome.
I’ll take this any day over the painfully unfunny alleged ‘comedies’ put out by Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn or Adam Sandler.
Wiig is a true talent.
Saw this at Toronto and it was one of my favorite films. Can’t wait for it to come out in the theater. Matt Dillin is really funny. Good to see him in something good again.
This is the first film role for stage actor Christopher Fitzgerald. He is great on stage and it looks like he brings his skills and talent to the big screen. Great news.
I love darren criss and i know he gonna be great in the movie
I’ve been looking forward to this since the news of Darren Criss doing a movie with Kristin Wiig came out. Both of them are amazing, so I have faith that this will be good.
Very excited to hear this! Love Kristin Wiig and obsessed with Darren Criss. Can’t wait to see it! (But when do we get a trailer or a release date
?)
Do we know when it will be released in Australia?
