EXCLUSIVE: WME has signed Tobias Lindholm, whose drama A Hijacking received strong reviews out of Venice and before debuting at a press and industry screening yesterday. Lindholm wrote the script and directed a film that has a stylistic resemblance to United 93. U.S. distribution is being handled by Nordisk. Lindholm co-wrote and created Denmark’s top rated TV show, Borgen, and he co-wrote Thomas Vinterberg’s latest film The Hunt. He was chased by all the agencies.
Here’s a trailer for A Hijacking:

looks intense. the danish are unstoppable right now
Wow. This guy is the real deal.
It is difficult to tell just how good the film could be from the excruciatingly awful English dubbed voices which also have English subtitles over the dubbed dialogue.
What were the distributors thinking of to release a trailer like this? Dubbing or subtitles, yes. Both at once, no, and is nothing but at insult to our intelligence.
I sincerely hope that if the film eventually receives distribution in the UK that it does so in the original language with English subtitles.
Are the actors’ voices dubbed? I figured English was actually scripted into those specific scenes, where it might logically be spoken for the sake of one more characters not fluent in Danish.
