Talk about a full flight. Travel Channel today announced that five of its shows will be returning: Baggage Battles (November 14), Hotel Impossible (December 3) and Trip Flip (TBA in 2013) are coming back for second seasons. Also returning for a 13-episode run in 2013 is Toy Hunter. The collectables series, which debuted August 15, will have six more episodes added to its first run, including a December holiday special. Bizarre Foods America will be returning in 2013 too for a seventh season.

“Bizarre Foods” is revolting–always makes me change the channel when I happen upon it. Is this the programming effect The Travel Channel intends? The other shows are great, glad to have them back. And sorry that they’re losing Bourdain to CNN. His stuff was easily the best on their net….
Travel Channel has become irrelevant. Use to watch it and enjoyed the shows. Now….just another reality show dumping ground. Just like the History channel….once a month you may actually have a program about history. Imagine that. Truth in Advertising? It isn’t The Travel Channel and it isn’t History. Each month less and less programing except for channels selling things.
