EXCLUSIVE: ABC has put in development Black Friday, a drama written by feature scribe Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) and executive produced by another feature writer, Sheldon Turner (Up In The Air) through Vendetta Prods., his production company with Jennifer Klein. ABC Studios, where Vendetta is based, will produce.
Black Friday is an action thriller that follows a guy who unexpectedly finds himself in the center of a perilous event where he is responsible for the safety of others. The show follows him as he works to uncover the conspiracy responsible for the event while also following the personal lives of those surrounding him. Nolan, Sheldon and Klein executive produce. This marks Vendetta’s second sale this season, along with family soap SkinDeep at ABC, which is being written by Turner.
Nolan’s writing credits include the 2007 TNT limited series The Company and the upcoming feature Thunder Run directed by Simon West. He recently sold spec Rockets Red Glare to Sony. Turner is making his feature directorial debut with By Virtue Fall, a gritty drama starring Eric Bana and Armie Hammer. He has a couple of feature scripts in the works, including Everest at Sony and an animal poaching movie at Warner Bros.

Nolan is a great writer – curious to see how this one turns out! Congrats to all involved.
I predict they change the title if it airs on Thursday.
Sounds like this might be something that brings me back to network dramas. Finally! Great credits from these two guys.
Conspiracy on network = 10 episodes.
What do you get when die hard meets 24? Guess we’ll find out.
I’ll watch anything the guy that scripted Black Hawk Down does. Can’t wait!
If the writing is like that in The Company, then I will be watching.
