ABC World News has gotten a makeover. The program tonight is debuting a new graphics package, logo and theme song, composed by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer. It’s the first time the song has been updated since 2000. The show last got a graphics update when Diane Sawyer replaced Charlie Gibson in 2009. Take a look below:
OLD:

World News: where really only the United States matters.
Is it me or is the old look way better?
Is it “I”? Nope. The old look IS better.
Reducing the country to red, white, and blue pixels? Not so sure on that or the theme for that matter. Registers as cable-generic; not memorable but maybe in time…
I love World News, but why is the image the US only?
It looks like the screencaps are switched. The “old” looks newer than the “new” graphics.
Very Cinema 4D’ish.
