Eric Skinner is heading back to work with David Guillod at Intellectual Artist Management after just more than eight months as an agent, Deadline has learned. ICM Partners decided not to renew Skinner’s contract. Skinner and Guillod worked together at UTA when Guillod was the co-head of Motion Picture Talent and a partner there. Guillod left UTA for Paradigm in 2009, and Skinner left the same year and joined ICM as a coordinator. He later entered the agent-trainee program and was promoted to an agent in the talent department in February. Guillod left Paradigm last year.

Eric is a good guy. Does he know how much managers are looked down upon and despised?
You really don’t know what you’re talking about.
This business is about the person, not the title. There are many agents who are despised as well.
WTF are you talking about? Managers help guide a career. Agents only care about booking the project. Who’s more despised?
There’s a reason why most managers are rejects from the agencies. No one thought much of their abilities, so they scurry off to the manager route, with no license, no respect. Agents impress people outside of LA. Managers are just associated with sleaze. Sure, some are good, some deserve their 10%. Most do not, and are annoyances to clients and dealmakers alike.
Intellectual is on a roll signing some great clients and producing some good movies.
Good for Eric! He’s a really good dude. Hopefully he’ll be happy reunited with DG.
Good for Skinner! He is so awesome and classy, unlike the place he’s leaving….
Didn’t he come to ICM as a coordinator in 2011? It’s very sad that ICM would promote him and then fire him less than a year later. Sounds like they are having money problems and don’t know how to properly train their coordinators. I hope he becomes a powerful manager and steers his clients away from that sinking ship known as ICM
When is ABM, JW and BN going to join you? I see those contracts “expiring” soon too.
