President Obama wants his MTV. He is set to go on the network Friday for Ask Obama Live: An MTV Interview With The President. Hosted by MTV News’ Sway Calloway, the sitdown will be broadcast live from the White House at 5 PM ET. Fellow correspondent Andrew Jenks will be stationed at a Washington DC-area college with students who have questions for Obama. The 30-minute special will air on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits, and MTV Jams and on the network’s website and mobile platform. The interview is part of MTV’s ongoing Power Of 12 election coverage. Questions for the special can be submitted via MTV’s Facebook page and Twitter account.
MTV says it has reached out to Mitt Romney to appear on the network but has not received word back. Obama’s appearance will come two days after he appears on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and just over a week after he was on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.

Desperate.
oh yea Miffy, going after the young vote which he won over 80 percent of the Youth vote first time around is awfully despretley isn’t it?<sarcasm). Obama knows exactly what he doing.
The youth vote doesn’t show up no matter what happens and they certainly aren’t showing up for Obama this year. What matters are the independent voters and they are going for Romney.
“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Transparent.
DESPERATE? Romney campaign just said he’s done with interviews for the next two weeks. Meanwhile POTUS wants to keep his points moving along by talking to the American people. You tell me who wants it more.
Why should Romney keep talking to the media who lies about him? The same media who supports Obama. Your logic is non-existent.
If you were honest, you would ask why isn’t the Prez talking to the people, instead of being a celebrity?
The national nightmare is over, soon. Buh-bye.
It’s not about who wants it more. It’s about who we want more.
“Desperation is like stealing from the Mafia: you stand a good chance of attracting the wrong attention.”
Is MTV still relevant? It was relevant in 1992; don’t think so in 2012.
The latest corporate earnings are anemic, which of course is not a harbinger of robust economic growth.
I’m sure the closely scrutinized when Obama – you know – talks to the kids about other important stuff, like what kind of weed he likes and what underwear he wears.
Put a fork in him. Maybe this January he and Michelle can move in with the cast of Jersey Shore.
People without at least a high-school diploma, people under age 25, and people who receive welfare should not be allowed to vote. I hope these changes will be made to our Constitution someday.
Why high school diploma, why not a college degree? Oh, because colleges are liberal.
What about a hard worker whose job was outsourced by Bain to China and finds him/herself on welfare – what have they done to deserve your scorn?
What of a 24 year old entrepeneur who has started his/her own business – why exclude them? How about we exclude seniors as they are a drain on resources and many no longer have the mental capacity to make an informed decision? See how easy it is to exclude those that are inconvenient to you?
He’ll be on “Honey Boo Boo” soon.
Both desparate & transparent, but most importantly, supersuperlame.
A shame Mitt is passing. We won’t get the great question: “Boxers, briefs, or magic?”
It would be safe to say that Obama won’t be appearing on O’Reilly. This is probably due to scheduling conflicts with Jay, Oprah, The View, MTV and all the other ‘cream puff’ venues.
No doubt that Obama wants it more. The problem is for Obama that ‘wanting it more’ is Obama’s strength…while ‘doing it’ is not. What will Obama do in a second term when he cannot waste 50% of his presidency running for re-election?
Perhaps..maybe…possibly…Obama might actually do his job in between golf, basketball, celebrity friend making, campaigning, attending sporting events, making lives miserable with traffic problems from his visits etc.
Miracles can happen…
No, desperate is buying up electronic voting machines under umbrella corps and putting them into swing states. That’s not just desperate – that’s scared shitless!!!
You mean that made up lie that you just told? Who’s scared now?
