A&E’s drama pilot Those Who Kill has landed Chloë Sevigny as one of the leads. The project, an adaptation of a Danish crime series based on the books by Elsebeth Egholm, revolves around a police detective and a forensic profiler who possess a deep understanding of the serial killers they hunt. In a rich cable casting deal, Sevigny will play female lead Catherine Jensen, the newly appointed Detective in the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Division who is intelligent, fearless, strong and determined. Joe Carnahan is directing Those Who Kill from a script by Glen Morgan. Imagine Television and Fox 21 produce, with Morgan, Carnahan, Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo, Peter Bose and Jonas Allen executive producing.
Sevigny won a Golden Globe for her role on HBO’s Big Love and was nominated for an Oscar for Boys Don’t Cry. She recently starred in Paul Abbot’s provocative Sky Atlantic drama Hit And Miss, which aired in the US on DirecTV. Sevigny, repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment, recurs on FX’s American Horror Story: Asylum and on the upcoming season of IFC’s Portlandia.

Is she doing “blue steel” in that photo?
I was going to say the same thing but you beat me to it.
While already not an original genre, I liked this story far better as Wire in the Blood, the intense BBC series that ran for 6 seasons.
Wow. Are we ever going to stop with this forensic, crime solving glut of shows? It’s like enough already.
Rather this was an article about direct TV picking up the rights to Hit/Miss and producing a second season.
Couldn’t agree more. Hit & Miss was intriguing and well performed. It deserves a second season.
Wow! A lot of talented people on that show. My money is on this one. Must be a great script.
