EXCLUSIVE: David Duchovny, Hope Davis, and Timothy Hutton are starring in After The Fall, a film that is just getting underway in Connecticut. Scripted by Carroll Cartwright (What Maisie Knew), the film is being directed by Anthony Fabian (Skin) and produced by Anthony Mastromauro’s Identity Films.

The film is based on the true story of John and Brenda Fareri, grieving parents who used the unexpected death of their young daughter Maria as the impetus to build a world class state of the art children’s hospital where families are welcomed into the healing process. It has become the template for facilities that are more inclusive of the families of ailing kids.
“John and Brenda Fareri are truly extraordinary people,” said Mastromauro, whose Identity Films just wrapped the Claire Danes-James Mardsen-starrer As Cool As I Am. Duchovny and Davis play the parents, while Hutton plays Komiske, who helped them obtain funds for the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.

As noble an accomplishment as this was in real life, this doesn’t sound like a theatrical film. The plot and cast alike seem a better fit for a Lifetime made-for-TV movie.
Gee, why didn’t they title it “Death of a Salesman”
There’s plenty of time to go with “The Crucible”.
A wonderful true story, no doubt. As a movie however, sounds like a snoozefest.
Ive read the project,,,,its a fantastic script.
anonymous and flyover…im sure you said the same thing about winters bone, and in the bedroom
See you at sundance..

Amen to a heartfelt, adult drama for a change.
Can’t wait to see the film. It will be a pleasure to see a movie that deals with a heart warming topic, and not gore.
Looking foward to the film’s completion. Being that it is based on true incidents, makes it even more exciting to me. Can’l wait to see it.
I was in Maria Fereri’s middle school class the year that she died. Ironically, I also live right down the street from their filming location this morning at a church across the street from Central Middle School in Greenwich. Its a heartbreaking and inspiring story that I am truly looking forward to. Only wish I were a part of this production.
They were filming in my office today. Trouble is, no one thought to tell me! Imagine my surprise when I find my office taken over by a Hollywood crew, with cables, power units & assorted filming equipment scattered all around. Hello, David! Hello, Hope! Hello, Tim! Make yourselves at home! Oh, I’m sorry; you already have.
