Once again the universe of Google-funded YouTube channels stood in the shadow of Red Bull and the record-setting views for its October 14 webcast of skydiver Felix Baumgartner’s supersonic 120,000-foot freefall. The channel had 70.1M views in our tally for the week that ended October 17. That’s three times more than it had the previous week, when it had unusually high results for Baumgartner’s originally scheduled jump that was aborted due to high winds. This time Red Bull accounted for more than 49% of the 142.3M weekly views on the channels that we monitor while the top 10 channels accounted for 75%. Things were relatively steady within that group; a few shifts in rank but no changes among the names there.
Meanwhile, the channels gaining the most views were: Redbull, Nuevon (+641,477 to 1.5M), Be Fit (+179,864 to 759,883), Pitchfork TV (+159,344 to 1.3M), and The Onion (+157,889 to 1.7M). Biggest improvements by rank: Kin Community (+34 to No. 30), The Thrash Lab (+34 to No. 58), Jay Z’s Life and Times (+25 to No. 57), Official Comedy (+17 to No. 64), and DS2DIO (+16 to No. 45). Channels dropping most in views: Motor Trend (-1.9M to 3.3M), DanceOn (-1.4M to 2.6M), Awesomeness TV (-1.3M to 1.2M), Mondo Media (-1M to 1.3M), and Fuse (-763,981 to 1.7M). And falling most by rank: Kick (-71 to No. 96), Fawn Inc (-17 to No. 59), Digs (-15 to No. 99), NOC (-12 to No. 29), and Mondotransistor (-12 to No. 63).
Blayze supplies the data for our tally with one exception: YouTube provides views for the shows it funds on Mondo Media. Channels highlighted in beige are the ones that were launched before Google introduced its original channels program in November. Here’s our latest ranking:

so….with the exception for special events….
is this data good news? I don’t know how to read it properly

For accuracy of reporting, “3V” is one channel, not 7 different channels.
This is wrong.
I happen to know for a FACT that NicePeter (ERB2), Smosh, TheFineBrothers, BarelyPolitical, and HISHE – *ALL* get more weekly hits than these corporate PAWN channels!
I guess we know what team the OP is playing for… and it certainly isn’t the ACTUAL (independent) stars of YouTube! XP
This ia list of the Youtube funded original channels. The channels you mentioned aren’t a part of that program.
You say these channels are “corporate pawn” channels. NicePeter is pretty corporate, he is part of maker studios which is the largest network on youtube.
