NBC and CBS won’t confirm, but if true it’s the latest stop for Erica Hill, who was replaced on CBS Morning Show over the summer by Norah O’Donnell. Hill would join Today‘s weekend show as co-host alongside Lester Holt, who currently anchors the show solo Saturdays and co-hosts with Jenna Wolfe on Sundays. Hill joined CBS as co-host of The Early Show in 2010 after a stint as news reader and correspondent on Anderson Cooper 360 at CNN. CBS retooled Early Show this year and hired Charlie Rose and Gayle King to co-anchor alongside Hill, who was the only member left of the previous incarnation of the show.

This is great because soon NBC will have to try to find a place for Savannah Guthrie once Erica becomes the new host of the Today show Monday through Friday.
Good move. I like her. There’s nothing wrong with this host as there is nothing wrong with Ann Curry. May they both find the niches they deserve.

I always though that that guy Daniel Sieberg would have been good for the network news weekend shows but he left the business for a job at Google. Batten down the hatches both networks and cable – sooner or later this is going to start happening for on-air talent – hosting on Inter-net platforms – more and more; define “ratings” increasingly becoming the question melding into an amalgamation/aggregate thing.

Yes, thank you Cary…I couldn’t agree more. At least this move will hopefully keep Jenna Wolfe off camera more. I had given up on watching the show anymore as I just can’t stomach Jenna anymore. My God…what were they thinking when they hired her!

i was excited to hear that erica hill was going to be weekend anchor, and was so in hopes
jenna wolfe would be outta there. then, there she was reading the news in that hard, unpleasant
nasal voice. i had to give up weekend today, even though lester is one of my favorites.
he and erica have good chemistry. but i, and several friends, agreed that jenna appeared to be
a thorn in his side. we have wondered what she had on whom at nbc, to keep her on air.

I agree. Lester is so good and puts up with Jenna when she always wants the attention on her. Erica is so relatable. This will be a great change! Hope you scoot Jenna all the way out!
Erica is a dud, Jenna has lots of energy. I want to wake up in the morning not get lulled back into bed by sleepy Erica. She should go back to CBS.

I’m so upset Jenna is not co host any more. I thought she and Les.ter were great together and although she coud carry off hard news she added some much needed laughs.
So sorry to see Jenna demoted. I felt that she was intelligent, playful, strong…a wonderful role model for women. Her chemistry with Lester was perfect. My fianancee and I COMPLETELY enjoyed their dynamic!!! We’d LOVE to see her back. Erica is just another pretty face. NO personality!
Last time I was on here Campbell Brown was going to be on the weekend show what happened to that move? I like Erica anyone is better than Jenna Wolfe.
Yes, thank goodness there are those of you out there that share my opinion of Jenna Wolfe. With all due respect, she is so obnoxious and self centered and if I had to watch one more exercise segment with her I would have to shoot myself. Maybe this move to keep her off camera more is the first step in the right direction of eleminating her from the show alltogether. One can only hope! Sorry, not meant to be mean, but she is just not national morning show material (not by a long shot). Erica seems to be much more suited to follow Jane, Katie, Campbell and Merideth (sorry Ann, I really like you but you were not right for the part either).
Now if we could just get rid of the horrible segments from Jenna Bush Hagar. Maybe it’s a “Jenna” thing?

I left the Early Show when Erica replaced Maggie. I can’t watch the Today show since Savannah replaced Ann. Now my weekend is ruined with Erica – I like Lester with Jenna! So I guess I can start my chores earlier and then take a break to watch Charles on CBS. Today Show – bye bye.
