Fox brass has given another vote of confidence to animated comedy Bob’s Burgers with a 22-episode fourth-season order. The pickup comes on the heels of a six-script order for the comedy in August. “We love Bob’s,” said Fox chairman Kevin Reilly. “We are really proud of the way the show has grown over the past three seasons — without losing the unique voice at its core — and we know that the best is yet to come for Bob’s Burgers and its fans.”
While not a breakout, Bob’s Burgers has been an OK ratings performer and a favorite of Fox’s brass. It recently was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. Airing for the first time in the fall in the hammock 8:30 PM slot between The Simpsons and Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers has posted the greatest year-to-year growth of any returning broadcast series in the male demos, according to Fox. The network previously renewed the comedy for a third season with a 13-episode order back in January, before the series’ second-season premiere in March. Bob’s Burgers is produced by 20th Century Fox TV. It was created by Loren Bouchard who executive produces and writes with Jim Dauterive.

YES. The best animated show on TV. Congrats Bob’s!
A 5th season is probably already locked, if they’re ordering this a year in-advance.
FOX are still airing leftover Season 2 episodes.
OMG!!! AWESOME NEWS!! I love me some Bob’s Burgers!
This is a really good show. It’s nice to see networks invest in sleeper shows and wait for audiences to come around.
Great news for a great show!
SMH.
YES! I love this show!
Yeaaaaaah. More Bob’s Burgers please!
I think this spells the end of The Cleveland Show.Production has ended on the current cycle and the only episodes left in the can is one holdover episode from 3APSxx and 21 episodes from 4APSxx. If it’s not picked up for a fifth cycle very soon, there is absolutely no way it can launch next fall – assuming it airs a full season this year.
Fantastic show!! So happy Fox is behind it. Go Bobs!
Great news! I love this show.
This show is absolutely spectacular. Writing, acting, visuals. It’s Malcolm in the Middle and The Simpsons rolled into one. It breaks my heart that the ratings haven’t shot through the roof on this one (though it’s beating MOST of the new live-action comedies across the board). It does however make me incredibly happy to see a network back quality programming and allow it gain momentum past the first 6 episodes (which it will).
It’s a drastically different environment out there in the TV world since The Simpsons/Family Guy/and even Cleveland(cancelled) have launched. The targeted demo for animated programs (young males) have changed their content viewing patterns in the past ten years, more so than any other age group…and there in that lies the advantage. These shows are catering to a new generation of viewers, kids who consume content on all platforms (online/mobile/tv…duh). Why the networks, FOX in this particular case, are not embracing the obvious opportunity to get their viewers back through intelligent online marketing and increased windows on alternative digital platforms boggles my mind.
The Bob’s fans are out there…they just need a bun-breadcrumb trail to follow back to those tasty Burgers.
But yet no word of “The Cleveland Show”…
CONGRATULATIONS, WENDY !
So so happy. This show is fantastic. Great writing. Great cast. Supreme entertainment!
Lot of creative thought, skill & effort being rewarded. Great news! Anne
Excellent news. Love this show.
I Really Enjoy Bob’s Burgers I’m so Happy we get another Season. Thank you Fox.
This show is honestly the best I have seen in a while. I hope it never ever gets cancelled.
This is my favorite show…so damn funny!
Love bobs burgers great animated TV show. Can’t wait fir a new season go bobs burgers yeahh
Bob’s Burgers is a really good show I hope to be on for a long time
Terrible show. Was hoping my search ‘when will Bob’s Burgers be cancelled’ would have yielded a different result. If it is so great, move it from the ‘forced watching’ time slot at 8:30 and see how it does. Please go away Bob.
OMG I hate this show with a passion. I honestly can’t stand to watch it for even a minute. Hate that it’s on at 8:30 as I have to find something else to do for 30 minutes in between the better shows around it. The voices are so annoying and the animation looks like an 8-yr-old could do it. If Fox won’t cancel this show then at least move it to 7:30 where it doesn’t interfere with the real Sunday night line-up.
One of the few shows I TiVo and truly enjoy watching more than once. Here’s wishing Bob’s Burger a long and successful run on Fox. Yum!
