Jeff Foxworthy is coming back to test your knowledge of the Good Book. GSN announced today that it has ordered a second season of The American Bible Challenge. The order is for nine episodes of the one-hour game show. New episodes will air in 2013. American Bible Show delivered GSN its highest viewership in 17 years with the show’s August 23 debut. The show is now the network’s top original series ever. RelativityREAL’s Tom Forman, Embassy Row’s Michael Davies are executive producers with J.P. Williams and Jennifer Novak. Nick Stuart and Maura Dunbar of the multi-faith media coalition Odyssey Networks are consulting producers. Foxworthy also serves as a producer.

Holy shit….
Do we have any idea when the American Bible Challenge will return??
Awesome news. Great show serving a very underserved audience. Learn something Hollywood, there is life and different views outside of West Hollywood.
This is exactly what Jesus wanted…
People winning cash and prizes for memorizing biblical stories.
Foxworthy should be proud. Real Christians should be appalled.
As a real Christian, I think the show is great. I am not appalled, but happy the airwaves are being filled with something other than horny teens and confused men who think they’re women.
The money goes to the nonprofit or charity of the winner’s choosing.
I am a Christian and I really don’t see what’s wrong with this. Awards and prizes are handed out to people for eating worms, losing weight, kicking people off an island.. why not hand out money for something that actually requires skill, and is about something that actually has substance and matters? Not appalled at all. Actually now interested in watching.
Okay Aggro! If you knew what you were talking about you would know that the show gives the winnings to charities – no prizes or $ to the winners.
dial down the hatred.
The cash and prizes go to charities the contestants pick out beforehand. The contestants don’t win the money. It goes to a worthy cause…exactly what Christianity is about. Why don’t you research before you post.
I agree!
My husband and I enjoy this show so very much. Question though, will the 8-voice choir be singing again?
. They were absolutely great.
Oh my goodness.
American Geography (& General Knowledge) Challenge would be far more useful!
Says the intolerant hell-bound atheist.
Already being done. It’s called Jeopardy.
Hell has definitely frozen over, again.
good for the executives over there seeing the capabilities this “outside the box” show had. while it is a show I am not inclined to watch they knew there was an underserved audience there…great job guys not being generic!
Thank God. I was afraid that fantasy was disappearing from the American scene.
Rolfie, your negativity is wasted here. I’ll pray for you.
Anyway, it’s nice to see something uplifting on tv that the whole family can enjoy. It’s fun without vulgarity, nudity, etc. This show makes me miss my old sunday school where we had such fun games!
Rolfie, that’s so true.
What is GSN?
I watched the first episode and just found it boring, maybe because I didn’t know any of the answers. lol i need to go to church more often.
Watched the show last night…Question about the fourth man in the furnace…wrong answer…would not affect the outcome, but [fourth man indicates one person] answer given [sons of gods...indicates more than one] answer from the King James version of the Bible, Daniel 3:25 “and the form of the fourth is like The Son of God”, important difference. Fun show…great that money is for good causes…glad it will continue.
I thank God for the next season, and the first, it’s about time, for a world that needs it may it go on for a very long time
Entertaining! Challenging! Encouraging! Inspiring! Humorous! Refreshing! Uplifting!
I absolutely love this show and I think it is refreshing to have something good to watch and look forward to!!!
Praise God this was one the very best game show ever it really help you with Bible study prepares For standing strong in his holy word this should be on seven days a week be bless your solder in christ amen
As a person who studys Gods word daily i like this show and pray that someday it will be on a National network in prime time on Gods DAY SUNDAY!!!
I am looking forward to watching the Bible challenge if I can learn when it is on. Having been a high school teacher, I know the students learn from these little quizzes. Just so they remember the right answers, not the wrong ones.
I agree that we are failing in our knowledge of geography and social studies, bout there must be time for the Bible.
If they have to have a game show quizzing contestants on their biblical knowledge, then why not incorporate the contestants knowledge of Mother Goose rhymes into the same show? Seriously, Mother Goose and the bible what’s the difference?
I absolutely love this show and can’t wait for the 2nd season to come on. It has really tested my knowledge of the Bible and I find it easier to study about the stories it brings up. I think “Oh, I didn’t realize that”. “Let me read that again”. Love it!!!
What has won more souls, hot women of Bill Graham? This comment by Jeff Foxworthy was so childish and demeaning to the cross. Just showing you can read it, and not hear it and make a fool out of your self on national TV.
When will your 2 season start and cone on again, love the show and very rewarding,
When will your 2 season start and come on again, love the show and very rewarding, and how to would apply to be on the show?
Thrilled a show of this nature is on and encouraged to hear the winning monetary amount goes to charity. Only disappointment is that unless you subscribe to the GSN channel on cable, you won’t see it. I don’t subscribe to the GSN channel. I pray one day soon it will be available to all. May God bless this endeavor.
