Here’s a first look at Movie 43, a film that I’ve written about several times here, because I loved those raunchy 70s comedies The Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie, and because the filmmakers who put this together, –Peter Farrelly, Charles Wessler and John Penotti, Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley–assembled such a killer cast of directors and actors for these completely inappropriate comic vignettes. The final cast, in alphabetical order: Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Leslie Bibb, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler, Bobby Cannavale, Kieran Culkin, Josh Duhamel, Anna Faris, Richard Gere, John Hodgman, Terrence Howard, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Knoxville, Justin Long, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Chris Pratt, Liev Schreiber, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet. Relativity Media will release it January 25. Here’s a Red Band trailer:

A-listers slumming it is always funny, as long as they are on the “joke”.
This actually looks funny…would like to see more trailers. It has a ‘Ted’ feel to it.
OMG edgy!
I would rather have Bieber vomit on me than see this thing.
I’ve read a lot of these shorts. They’re actually really funny. Will Carlough and Matt Portenoy’s are awesome. Pritikin’s is pretty great as well.
Not even close to the wit of Kentucky Fried Movie. But this will certainly sell with the teen to 20′s male crowd.
Culture must be at a all-time low when a John Landis film is cited for its “wit.”
Almost 40 years old here and you know what? That just looks funny as hell … everyone looks in on the joke and having a good time … no “message,” no morals, nothing but dick jokes and molesting corpses … a good time for the whole family …
What’s with the title?
Doing dumb raunchy gags is much easier than making a movie that’s smart and funny. This is an epic fail creatively but it’ll make money because it was cheap to produce. If you want to see a great version of this watch Amazon Women on the Moon it was brilliant from start to finish. Ed Begley Jr. as the invisible man and the funniest of all the video pirates.
Okay, blowing out the blind kid’s candles made me laugh…I admit it.
Okay, the ‘bag of frozen peas and a sponge’ made me laugh… I admit it too (sheepishly).
How did the structure the deals on this? Did they finance it as series of independent short films?
Let’s just put it this way- this movie was originally pitched to GreeneStreet by Charlie Wessler in 2006. So yeah, it was complicated.
This actually made me laugh quite a few times. Loved the old Zucker brother films. I’d watch this… for free… on Netflix streaming.
Oh please stop with the over thinking esoteric previous films comments.. bla bla,
This trailer is fn funny!
Great work Tuck and Ken!!

It’s taken way too long from when they wrapped this to its release. Which we all know means it’s going to be terrible. I got to see most of these bits about a year and a half ago and the best part was when it ended and I could go back to real life.
Mr. Hollywood, everyone!
I sat with Matt Portenoy while he wrote every line of his short (ft. Emma Stone) at the Wilshire Crest. Man, did it pay off! Hilarious!!! Great work, Matt!!!
