Omg. Sounds like its gonna be so damn funny. Cant wait:)
Now this is what SNL has been missing…..
Mildly entertaining sketches.
Reminds me of the old Dr. Evil bit in ‘Austin Powers.’
Very funny sketch but I completely disagree on the Lehrer Affair! When Lehrer moderated an Obama/McCain debate I remember distinctly how he was trying to get the candidates to engage with each other without much success. That was not the case this time around. What was theoretically lost in time devoted to the rules resulted in a debate of candidates engaged with each other and many revealing things about both candidates became apparent. He didn’t vociferously stop them from trying to steamroll generally and from trying to steamroll each other (yes even him) and I thought that that was a lot more vivid for the audience, not the norm in a debate, and an effective presentation of contrasting approaches and temperaments (important!) as opposed to decorous presentation of shot clock timed response. He let them attack the issues as they would preternaturally as elected or reelected president.
A.D. Miles, funny stuff!
It wasn’t a debate….it was speeches lined up back to back…has it been so long that we have forgotten what a debate is?
Fallon is a moron. He is surrounded by enablers who tell him that everything he does is brilliant. This sketch died after the first 30 seconds. That’s all it should have been. But Jimmy thought it was so incredibly funny that it had to be an additional three minutes. Pathetic. Saturday Night Live will do a much funnier sketch because as bad as they are they understand you can’t keep saying the same joke over and over for the entire sketch. Awful he should have done his Romney video blog that’s funny because it’s Mitt trying to be a teenager and Fallon does a good Romney impression. This was just plain stupid and so damn repetitive. This wasn’t even good enough to air on the Jay Leno show.
Correct on all counts, Tim. Nice to see someone else acknowledge the emperor has no clothes.
watch out mItt. Big bird is going to get cha.
HILARIOUS!!! I love it!
When did Jimmy start stealing Mike Meyer’s schtick?
aaaah, that’s crap that now passes as hilarious. No wonder network tv has been so awful the past few years.
I would have lost it if Jim Lehrer (the real one) stood up and shouted at Romney in a growling, evil tone: “Shut the F*** up!”
I’ve always liked Jimmy Fallon, but every time I’ve tried to watch his show I find it painfully unfunny. This was a great concept that went on far longer than even the longest SNL sketches. I’d hardly call it hilarious.
Yeah, reminded me of Mike Myers. Very funny.
That was funny? Really? Didn’t Austin Powers already do that? And for too long as well? It was a one joke skit and the one joke wasn’t all that funny.
Jimmy dressed as Alvin Singing Courtesy of the red white and blue. then Toby Keith comes out dressed like Jimmy singing along.
