Joe Flanigan (Stargate: Atlantis) has joined the cast of Lifetime‘s pilot The Secret Lives Of Wives. The project, inspired by the book by Iris Krasnow, explores the unvarnished truth behind the marriages of four different women — Michelle (Kim Raver), Reed (Salli Richardson), Keaton (Amber Clayton) and Jessie (Lauren Bittner). Flanigan will play Reed’s husband Jared, unshaven and a shadow of his former self who has become passive and unresponsive to his marriage. He joins David Conrad, Callum Blue and newcomer Derek Smith who play the other women’s significant others.

) I would be over the moon when I could see him on TV every week again. So missed that guy. And the role sounds like an interesting one to me. So, as I know Joe’s a talented actor, he’ll give this character all what it needed. He’ll be just great, I know it.

Oh, I’m so loving this news! I just love it when my SyFy fandoms (SGA/Eureka) collide! Salli Richardson and Joe Flanigan are two of my favorite actors, so I just can’t wait for this show to air. I wish them all the best.
