The Sopranos creator David Chase’s feature directing debut is a coming-of-age tale about a group of friends who form a rock band in 1960s New Jersey. With a soundtrack produced by Steven Van Zandt, Not Fade Away stars John Magaro, Jack Huston, Will Brill, Bella Heathcote, James Gandolfini, Brad Garrett and Christopher McDonald. Paramount Vantage is set to open the film December 21st:

Looks great. Reminds me of the Springsteen concert story when his father brought in a barber to cut his hair when he was laid up in bed with a motorcycle accident.
This is an unfortunate waste of effort, planning and financing. Nobody will pay to see this. It’s horrible.
Film biz does really suck now.
Well, I think this looks like a kickass film. Can’t wait to see it.
The Sopranos is the greatest American filmmaking of the last 25 years, so I’m sold on Chase’s name alone. Can’t wait.
