Nearly two years since his last visit, President Obama is set to appear again on Comedy Central’s fake news show next week. The October 18 visit will be Obama’s sixth sit-down with Jon Stewart. The last time he was on the show was October 27, 2010, when the New York-based Daily Show was filming in DC. The visit will come two days after the second Presidential debate at New York’s Hofstra University. Obama has been busy on the talk-show circuit during the election season, hitting CBS’ Late Show With David Letterman and ABC’s The View recently.

Ah, the celebrity President. Sometimes I think this guy would rather just be a celebrity than a President.
So pathetic. But maybe Stewart will actually ask him the hard questions about Libya. There is NO WAY Obama would sit down with . . . oh, never mind. It won’t happen.
Obama going on the Daily Show for the same reason conservatives go on Fox News: they want to play some softball.
Agree with Jack & savvydude. This is embarrassing. He is mesmerized by celebrity and being on soft hitting Entertainment shows instead of actually going up against some hard hitting shows with people that will challenge him & give him the opportunity to defend himself. That is why he did so poorly in the debate, he can’t handle it. I’m sure the next two debates will be the same. The one thing he has proven to this Independent voter is that he doesn’t care about our country unless Jay-Z & Beyonce are hosting.
John Stewart is more likely to ask hard hitting questions than many “official” reporters. He is willing to call out both sides which does not happen on either fox or MSNBC.
The do nothing party and their chief clown are lowering the standards of the Presidency again. I can’t believe I voted for this fool in 08. I’m as embarrassed as Biden should be with his performance from last night.
Preemptive damage control! Pathetic…
The President is campaigning during election season? I’d never have seen this coming. How outrageous! Yes, this won’t be a ground breaking interview, after all it’s a comedy show on a comedy channel.
Much like O’Reilly,Hannity wouldn’t dare ask any hard questions to ANY Republican.
Show me someone who says other wise, and I’ll show you a god damned lair.
October 18th? What foreign policy or economic crisis is scheduled for that day?
The Obama presidency is predicated – reliant – on carefully timed show business appearances at this point. Like Oprah Winfrey the Obamas believe that fame and “message” disingenuously orchestrated through media exposure can crush adverse thinking. Then there is the belief that young Americans don’t watch the news at all and exclusively get any news they do get from show business which obviously the Obamas like, respect, cater to, encourage. This is not a “diss” of Stewart in the slightest. In fact I hope he rips Obama a new one just on general principle alone; frankly I believe that J.S. is the smarter of the two. If Obama were genuine about the “middle class” he would only take donations from big donors and not a dollar from anyone in “the 95%” as its money out of their pockets. Look at it this way “middle class” : you gotta grease his palm in order for him to help you, that’s what your hard-earned dollars add up to, like a toll booth for crossing a bridge. Now that’s a racket Chicago-style. But what do I know? I’m dead and the Obamas are on “The View” refusing to even genuinely address Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s questions…because she broke the rules : it was supposed to be a light and FUN appearance. Me and my family – no havin’ so much fun.
*Sigh*, doesn’t he ever stay at the White House and be president? Ever?
