BREAKING: Paramount Pictures has acquired Patrol, a Jayson Rothwell spec script that Stefan Sonnenfeld will produce through his banner Sunnyfield Productions.
When a U.S. Marines patrol chases drug smugglers to a remote island, their mission takes an unexpectedly deadly twist. Sonnenfeld is founder and president of the post-production house Company 3, and he will produce through Sunnyfield. They will run it through Paramount’s Insurge label and are discussing a fast track to production. He has done post-production work on everything from Transformers, Star Trek, Cloverfield and Alice In Wonderland to the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.
Rothwell is writing Spectral for Legendary, and scripted Invaders and Fort Knox for Warner Bros, and Snow White And The Seven for Disney. Sarah Perlman has been overseeing the development of the project for Sunnyfield. Rothwell and Sonnenfeld are repped by WME.

there wouldn’t happen to be zombies on this island, would there?????
Considering that Insurge is the micro-budget division, at least we can be sure there won’t be a full feature film crew on the island
END OF DAYS cinematography, anyone?
As someone who’s had the pleasure of working with Jayson, I can say in all honesty that he’s an extraordinary talent and deserving of this and much more success. Congrats all around!
Yes and the zombies on the island have cameras! It’s zombie-military-found footage!
Sigh.
Critics are like Eunuchs, they see it done every day, but cannot do it themselves.
Whatever happened to that cool horror script Rothwell wrote? I think it was called Kept or something like that.
What happened to The Loved Ones? I thought Insurge were releasing it?
Rothwell also wrote the upcoming Silent Night, Deadly Night remake.
Jayson Rothwell is an amazing talent. Great for him.
