ABC has announced that Paula Abdul will join the dance-competition show as a special guest judge on Monday, October 15. Abdul, whose own show Live To Dance fizzled on CBS, will join judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba for one night to critique the remaining All-Star couples on their dance routines. Dancing With the Stars has struggled with ratings this season as the show brought back celebrities from previous shows, including Bristol Palin and Kirstie Alley.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Make her a permanent judge and get rid of Carrie Ann. She’s so useless and annoying. It’s time for her to say goodbye to the show.
Oh, great, a has-been judging no-talent has-beens. Just what this show needs.
That’s so funny!
This edition of the show has been a trainwreck and they need all the help they can get but bringing her in to evaluate the talents isn’t going to help them out one iota. Vince McMahon is doing the same thing tonight to help boost ratings over his sagging show by showing up to jumpstart it on USA Network.
Paula Abdul is a perfect fit for DWTS All Star edition. Fading talent on a fading show.
Nope, Bill you don’t get away with that one. YouTube the clip of Paula Abdul’s performance at the ’89 AMA’s and tell me with a straight face she’s not qualified to judge a dance competition. The voice is questionable, but the moves certainly aren’t.
If you could keep your defense in the same century as me, then we’d talk. I’m kidding, but really, I’m seriously saying, just like someone did above, this show is just horrible, and adding her does nothing to improve it.
Paula Abdul hardly qualifies as a fading talent. Her best work was the Bratz Meltdown and that was like 5 years ago.
Dancing with the stars is still a great and well made show, don’t understand why NBC had to program the voice opposite it.
The show has become so annoying, I stopped watching.
