BREAKING: Ralph Fiennes will star in Grand Budapest Hotel, which is Wes Anderson’s followup to the summer hit Moonrise Kingdom. The film is coming together quickly with Anderson producing with Scott Rudin and Indian Paintbrush’s Steven Rales, Anderson’s collaborators on Moonrise Kingdom. Johnny Depp had originally sought to play the role when the project was first set up, but that didn’t work out.
Fiennes has been in an array of memorable bad guy roles that included Voldemort in the Harry Potter films, In Bruges, reprising Hades in Wrath Of The Titans, and starring in the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall. He also directed and starred in Coriolanus. He’s repped by CAA and Dalzell and Beresford.

Ralph Fiennes in the smart comedy of Wes Anderson – let’s great! I cant wait to see this movie.
Was it ever verified by anyone connected to Johnny Depp that he was actually involved in this movie?
Yes, Johnny Depp and Angela Lansbury were officially on board, but had to drop out due to scheduled conflicts.
Such a shame about Angela Lansbury, it would’ve been a great project for her. Why Lansbury – one of the greatest actresses around, isn’t cast in more film project is beyond my understanding.
