The Voice made a successful transition from the blind auditions to the battle rounds with a 4.7/12 among adults 18-49 in the fast nationals last night, up a tenth from last Monday. Newly picked up Revolution (3.1/8) shed another tenth for its lowest-rated fast national to date. NBC won every hour of primetime to win the night in 18-49 and total viewers. This is the first time NBC has won the first three Mondays of the season in people meter history (since at least 1987).
We may have seen the last of Fox’s The Mob Doctor, at least for a while. The freshman dropped again last night to a 0.9/2 in 18-49, testing the limits on how low a show on a major network can go before being yanked. Mob Doctor as well as its lead-in, Bones (2.0/5, down a tenth), will be pre-empted for baseball for the next three weeks. It remains to be seen whether Mob Doctor comes back after that.
CBS’ fast-nationals may be inflated by an NFL pre-emption in Houston, which scored big ratings. With that in mind, CBS’ Monday lineup was up in the fast nationals from last week with the exception of How I Met Your Mother (3.2/9, down a tenth) as a game’s impact gets stronger as the night progresses. Freshman Partners (2.2/6) was up a tenth, 2 Broke Girls and Hawaii Five-0 were up three tenths from their fast national last Monday; Mike & Molly was up two tenths.
ABC’s Dancing With The Stars (2.1/5) was flat, while Castle (2.2/6) was up three tenths from last week to again tie Hawaii Five-0 in the hour.
After solid season premieres for Hart Of Dixie and Supernatural, the CW hit a low note last night with the returns of 90210 (0.5/1 in 18-49), down 44% from last fall’s opener, and Gossip Girl (0.4/1), down 43%.

Mob Dr. was dead on arrival. Should be yanked.
don’t understand how it ever got on the air — what was fox thinking? perhaps more to the point is what was sony thinking — didn’t they just sign josh berman — creator of the show – to a deal? this town never ceases to amaze
90210 was Dvr’d does that count? I support the only gay character on CW Teddy Montomery
It’s a shame how bad 90210 is written and how boring it is. Same with Gossip. I like how the CW is mixing their development up w genre fare and CBS lite procedurals. However, it would be stupid to completely abandon serialized soaps just because their two flagships are awful when they still could have their own smarter Soaps like Nashville and Revenge.
“S–t My Dad Says” had more laughs, and was actually more believable than “Partners.” Can CBS bring that In as a replacement?
No, but you’re right. I’d rather watch Will Sasso and Nicole Sheridan any day of the week. The “Partners” cast is a disapointment, and the show is just not funny.
Nicole Sullivan.
NFL Football (ESPN) and MLB playoffs effected these results but this is never mentioned because the ratings are just about the networks. You’d think some reference to this would be appropriate. If Monday Night Football were still on ABC the effect would be obvious.
CBS BIG Monday nights are over. Those numbers are depressing, and they will drop even more in the Finals because CBS aired Football in Houston. What a mess they have now on Mondays. The days with 2.5 man and CSI Miami are gone. Partners is awful , Mike & Molly and 2 Broke Girls are mediocre shows, and the remake of Hawaii 50 is unwatchable.
NBC has finally gotten strong shows. The Voice is amazing. And Revolution is getting better each week. I hope it stays on for several seasons.
Taking TWO AND A HALF MEN away from Mondays at 9PM was the worst move CBS ever could have made.
Two and a half men is not gonna be on the air for very long, it almost didn’t get renewed. But honestly why does every network have to go head to head on mondays
It speaks volumnes about how bad CBS Mondays have gotten when their affiliate(s) choose to air the Monday Night Football game instead of the CBS programs. I mean the game could have just as easily been watched on ESPN. Surprised at the big jump in viewers for Dancing With the Stars and the slight uptick in demo but maybe now this will become the new trend for that show. And do the Castle!!! W O W @ Castle winning demo on ABC Monday. Both shows are up but could Castle eventually overtake DWTS in both demo and viewers??? That’s something to watch for in the coming weeks. The Voice is STRONG and Revolution is still above a 3 but continuing the slide in demo and basically unchanged in viewers at 8 million. Still not sure about Revolution especially if the slide continues while Castle grows.
Who’s watching “Hart of Dixie”?
Love it but not thrilled with wade and zoie her dumping george bad!!!!!!!!!!!!
CBS is in trouble with their Monday night line-up. Partners and Hawaii Five-0 are unwatchable and tanking for good reason. Partners should be pulled and Five-0 should be put out to pasture on Fridays.
Fox needs to yank Mob Doctor right here and now…those numbers are unacceptable and they need something fresh to insert with Bones in their lineup. DWTS should be canceled as well.
I am glad to see CBS tanking on Mondays. GO NBC!
For years CBS has been in the top and because of that they kept canceling shows with great fandoms and never giving any closure to them.No cbs canceled show ever get closure. A big slap for the fans.
CBS Mondays are a mess. Partners is awful. And the Hawaii 50 remake the worst show ever, it should had being canceled in the first season. The Cast is awful. Poor Scott Caan, he deserves better.
Loving the Voice and Revolution.
Soon CBS will be hoping they could get back shows as Jeriko, Moonlight or Ghost whisperer. All examples of sudden canceled shows with no closure.
Go nbc!! And thanks for Revolution, Grimm and Chuck.

Good for Revolution and NBC. Say what you will about that show, it’s entertaining. It’s fun. It’s got a heart and some character depth and some truth. Unlike the two other duds in its time slot. Nathan Fillion may be the most charming man on television, but he still needs something to work with.
