The former PepsiCo CEO Roger Enrico’s resignation as chairman of the DreamWorks Animation board is “effective immediately”, the company says. He has been replaced by Ariel Investments president Mellody Hobson. She’s also a director of Estee Lauder, Starbucks, and Groupon, and sits on the boards of Chicago’s Field Museum, the Chicago Public Education Fund and the Sundance Institute. Roger Enrico had led the studio’s board since it went public in 2004. CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg calls him ”an invaluable leader” who helped to put the company “on a path to success from day one. On behalf of the Board of Directors and our entire management team, I’d like to deeply thank Roger for his unfailing service over the past eight years and wish him the very best in the future.”
