Rupert Murdoch went on a Twitter tear this morning, taking jabs at President Obama and Joe Biden, especially the latter’s performance in Thursday’s VP debate. The News Corp CEO declared it would be a “nightmare for Israel if Obama wins. Biden outright lied about personal relations with Bibi”, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. A separate Tweet advised Mitt Romney in next debate “to ignore personal attacks and pivot to plans for millions of jobs and real opportunity for all. Only that matters.” Regarding events in Libya, Murdoch said “White House still lying about Benghazi. HAD to know truth, or is whole admin a shambles? Biden threw CIA under bus, now WH throws State!” Summing up presidential campaign momentum, he said “At moment election looks like coming down to Ohio. Huge spending by both sides, but Obama TV buying operation infinitely smarter.”

The more politics you post the less I visit. Entertainment, please.
Politics is entertainment.
Never thought I would agree with Murdoch, but he is spot on.
All this from the guy whose company was illegally phone hacking and blackmailing UK politicians.
Yes, the guy knows about dirty politics, bribing politicians, and lying like a rug, so him supporting Romney makes sense.
Ah, yes, when all else fails trot out the Israel/Iran card. Sad. Moreover, anyone who think Romney will be the better choice isn’t looking very closely at what this man proposes. Nothing Romney has proposed will create jobs. Contrary to popular belief increasing taxes on the middle and lower class will not create jobs.
Yes… based on the R & R team’s speaches/debates, if they’re elected into office, America can be guaranteed jobs. Problem is, we’ll all be working for the Armed Services… at below minimum wage (Ryan will see to that for sure) with no guarantees of proper healthcare; many of us wouldn’t be around to collect. BTW… “I LOVED SNL!” Truth be there. LOL.
It’s amazing how people as savvy and successful as Rupert Murdoch and Jack Welch come off as shrill political hacks on Twitter. Welch has gone beyond the pale into some conspiratorial fantasyland. Meanwhile, Rupert Murdoch, purveyor of lawless phone-hacking tabloids and news bimbos like Steve Doocy, seems shamelessly blind to the inexorable decline in his reputation.
This from the man, as the above comment says, illegally hacked phones and blackmailed. This from a man whose network, Fox, poses one right wing lie after another. Thank heavens for Biden, blowing holes in Junior Ryan’s Boy Scout list of oaths.
Thanks, Rupert. Because I’m sure what’s good for you is good for everybody, right?
Coming from a guy that controls the media and lies to people about the truth. I’m thankful the Britain government caught this snob for who he really is. And he pretended as he knew nothing. C’mon, you seriously want me to take this scrub serious?
Murdoch tells Romney the only thing that matters is money. Is that a surprise? Why is that newsworthy?
Obama election would be a nightmare for Isreal? Not sure I agree with that but I’ll concede it if he acknowledges that a Romney victory would be a nightmare for America –
If I wanted to know what murdoch’s twitter said, I’d follow him on fucking twitter.
His musings on life, politics, cats, or whatever else he wants to tweet about does not belong on this site.
When I vote, I’m only worried about one country. Mine, Other coutnries will just have to look out for themselves. i don’t wish them ill, but what are the odds any foreigner is biting their nails over how their own election will affect America when they vote?
It’s a shame you didn’t get to live in the late 1930s when isolationism was rampant and its adherents thought that Hitler was Europe’s problem. Edmund Burke’s adage bears repeating: “In order for evil to triumph all that is needed is for good men to do nothing.”
Well said.
Mr. Murdoch,
A slight correction: The Israeli nightmare began when George W. Bush took office. Evidently the “road to peace” in the Middle East did not run — counter to the original claims of Wolfowitz and the neo-cons — thru Baghdad. (Or for that matter, Cairo).
Who is winning the war in Iraq: Answer: Iran.
Maybe this Australian whose company was caught hacking the phones of dead British people ought to STFU about the American election and spare us all his “pearls of wisdom”.
Romney isn’t raising taxes on anyone while the economy is in this shape. Creating job opportunities will bring in revenue.
Tell that to the Sensata Tech employees.
Not knowing how the UK’s tax system works, I still am: Wondering… does Murdoch have his $$ in the same place as Romney?
The irony of Murdoch preaching about jobs…when he is currently in the process of halving his News Corp workforce. Literally. Halving. Incredible.
though it’s all a game to him (gin up interest/ratings), he comes off as senile and sad. divert attention from blighty. a last gasp. a final grasp at relevance before the eternal dirt nap just ’round the bend. whatever.
