Arrow CW Full Season PickupThe CW has given a full-season order to breakout drama Arrow after two strong airings. Arrow‘s series premiere drew 4.14 million viewers, making it the network’s most-watched telecast of any show on any night in three years, and the CW’s most-watched series premiere since The Vampire Diaries in 2009. In its second outing, Arrow became the only new network drama this season to hold its ratings in both adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 from its premiere to its second week. “Our strategy of rolling out our new fall schedule later in the year really paid off for The CW on several levels, especially with Arrow“, said CW president Mark Pedowitz.

While Arrow‘s pickup has been a no-brainer, the jury is still out on the prospects of CW’s other two new fall series, Beauty And The Beast and Emily Owens, MD. Beauty got off to a sold start but dropped significantly in Week 2, while Emily Owens got off to a soft start last week. Arrow is produced by Berlanti Prods. and Warner Bros TV with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg.
