  • Not one woman in this story, just a plethora of creepy looking dudes. Good luck.

    • @S, you aren’t familiar with the original story, are you?

    • No women? Dammit, add a spoiler tag! I was hoping for some steamy hobbit on ogre sex scenes.

Then again.. this is the Obama era.. maybe we get some hobbit on hobbit sex scenes?

  • Interesting how dimensionality is achieved even on a flat computer screen. Should be very effective on HDTV and the theatrical trailer should be a stunner.

    • Whisper: Audiences will be disappointed with The Hobbit when comparing the action and epic battle scenes to The Lord of The Rings trilogy.

Comment by U.S. Breeze — Wednesday October 24, 2012 @ 6:19am PDT  Reply to this post
  • Shouldn’t these commercials come with a warning that this is going to be a 9+ hour stretched out trilogy, so you will be committing yourself to a bore-fest if you buy tickets to this one?

Comment by Jim S — Tuesday October 23, 2012 @ 8:09pm PDT  Reply to this post
    • Wow, how long did you spend thinking that one up?

    • “Oh, I’m crazy? Those f#ckin’ hobbit movies were boring as hell. All it was, was a bunch of people walking, three movies of people walking to a f#cking volcano.”

Comment by Randal Graves — Wednesday October 24, 2012 @ 2:56am PDT  Reply to this post
      • I’m so with you on that. I slept through most of it (as I did the one Harry Potter movie I went to), but I get that people love this stuff so I’m guessing the box office will explode with dollars and make uber-rich out of the already super-rich.

  • Can’t wait! But how are we going to buy advance tickets Nov 9 when they haven’t told us which theaters are going to upgrade to 48fps? Seems like they should have a press release with that option first before we start shelling out.

  • @ S, good luck trying to swallow that big slice of humble pie your going to be eating on December 14′th.

  • I loved the three LOTR films, but have to say this just looks like the same s&^t over, and over, and over again. Good thing there are lots of little boys out there who have the attention span of a fly who will pay to go see this…

  • I am so looking forward to this. The Hobbit has always fascinated me and the preview looks so rich.
