CHEVY CHASE,MD - October 18, 2012 — Is there anyone else who has logged more miles in a custom RV than Bret Michaels? Travel Channel has inked a talent deal with the legendary rocker to host the new original series “Rock My RV” with Bret Michaels. The eight half-hour episode series has been greenlit for production beginning November 2012. Fans of Michaels know him as a long time RV devotee, and now Travel Channel is revealing for the first time just how deep his passion runs. Michaels, a hands-on enthusiast, leads a hand-picked team of skilled, custom RV designers and fabricators who transform travelers’ ordinary RVs into the most outrageous, badass, hooked-up mobile mansions on the road. The series is slated to premiere in 2013.
“For the past 25 years, Bret Michaels has spent at least nine months out of the year in a tour bus that he personally designs from top to bottom,” said Andy Singer, GM, Travel Channel. “We couldn’t think
of a better front man than Bret for the series. He lives and breathes life on the road and undoubtedly holds the record for most hours logged in a custom coach. Bret jumped at the chance to share his passion for travel and the RV experience through this fascinating, obsessive world of customizing RVs. We wanted him, and he wanted to do this – it is a great partnership.”
“Between touring and travelling, I spend a lot of time on the road and my tricked-out, custom coach is my home away from home,” adds host Bret Michaels. “I crisscross the country and live in my tour bus, and I know how to take an RV from ordinary to extraordinary. I can’t wait to put my expertise to use and show people how to make their RVs rock.”
As a musician and TV star, Michaels knows a thing or two about life on the road, touring the world in his own custom coach – outfitted with a state-of-the-art Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi and custom gym, amongst other deluxe amenities. Michaels spent his childhood taking road trips in his family’s Winnebago; and understands just what these vehicles mean to their owners.
“Rock My RV” with Bret Michaels is produced by BCII Productions for Travel Channel. For BCII, the executive producer is Bud Brutsman. For Travel Channel, the executive producer is Patrick McManamee.

Why. No but seriously…why?? There are SO many talented celebrities and hosts out there. This is just cheesy. Smelly cheese.
Look here, some people may not approve of him being the host, but there are millions of his fans cheering him on including me. I can personally say for many of the people who have ever got the chance to meet Bret and got a chance to go on his bus can automatically say it is amazing. Bret is a very nice and respectful person…and for you to say it is cheesy is very wrong on your part.
I am a long time fan of Bret Michaels. He would be a prefect host for this show because he has a lot of experience living on the road. I really do not understand people that bad mouth him, they obviously do not know what a generous person he is and how much he has done for the childrens diabetes charity. Im looking forward to watching this series.

Being a disabled vetrain and after loosing our 15 year old son to a hunting accident in 2011 things are hard on us to do much with our 1999 seabreeze motor home. We need leveling jacks ,as its to hard on me to level it with wood blocks any more, we would love to remodel the inside as it is just my wife and I and would love two arm chairs with a table between them. We would love to get rid of the booth and add a washer/dryer combo with a small drop leaf table and what ever else you might be able to do for us. The out side needs some attention as well. We are both native amercian and the inside theme is native american, but the out side lacks our lust as native american. Thanks Brett
I am a disabled Vietnam veteran who would like to travel more I have a 1972 Chevy Sportscoach that we use for local camping and would like to get it worthy of extended trips. Are you taking on projects?
Hey Bret I could use a tricked out rv I don’t have one. I’m dissabled and can’t afford one. I have 2 kid 9 and 11 and my lovely wife and we would love to be able to jump in and rv and go but that takes one thing I don’t have. I’ve had 4 back surgeries and 2 stomach surgeries they told my wife I has 12 hours to live and I fought thru it for my kids. This past winter 2012 I got my 2 fingers into a snow blower and almost lost them but the surgion saved them. So that’s eight surgeries in the past 6 years need something good to happen for my family so how abou bringing me a tricked out rv that would be awesome thanks a loyal fan is me!
Hey Brett…we have a motorhome and pontoon for you to do your magic on. We have named them the LooneyTune (pontoon) and LooneyBin (motorhome). I bet you could come up with some very creative ideas for them. Thanks!
