EXCLUSIVE: The final installment of the 5-film Twilight Saga just came on tracking today. And my sources say Breaking Dawn Part 2 which opens 
November 16th is comping at Part 1‘s record-breaking levels. Plus advance ticket sales are running 16% ahead as well. Summit Entertainment like most studios uses several tracking services, and I’ve learned that Part 2‘s unaided is equal or ahead of Part 1 — so that make it higher than any of the other Twilight pics. Awareness also is the highest and, in fact, already in the 90s for females. Not only is Breaking Dawn Part 2 tracking better than any other film already or about to open in the domestic box office before mid-November, but it’s even better than James Bond — 72 awareness for Skyfall vs 88 for Breaking Dawn Part 2. (Skyfall opens November 9th.) Naturally, Summit, now part of Lionsgate, is hoping the finale grosses more than Part 1‘s $138.1M opening weekend and breaks even more records. It should — especially because of the on-again, off-again, now on-again real-life relationship between Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson. (Were those Summit execs born under a lucky star or what? The pair reunited just in time for all the worldwide promotion like personal appearances and press tours. And the studio denies their reunion is a publicity stunt. ”They’re kids. They break up. They get back together. They’re good,” one exec assures me.)

Once again Summit will assign “camping spots” to Twi-hards starting November 8th at LA Live in front of the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. The huge crowds of tweens and teen and adults want to glimpse Bella and Edward before the film’s Red Carpet premiere on November 12th. This phenom happens every time Summit has released one of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga novels as a film. The studio has planned various events to relieve the boredom of the campers that weekend.
Within only a few days of advance tickets going on sale October 1st, Breaking Dawn Part 2 already represented half of Fandango’s sales for the week. Now Fandango tells me it’s 36% of today’s overall ticket sales even though it doesn’t open for 3 weeks yet — outselling this weekend’s Argo, Cloud Atlas, and Silent Hill: Revelation combined.

Yes, what a crappy world when kids and teens and their parents are reading books and seeing movies, and they are passionate about both.
No madam, healthy people are passionate for the books and movies Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings, etc. …. twihards don’t care about the books and films, they only care about the relationship’s status (true or not) of the two leads, to be able to fantasize about them while seeing the movies.
Twihards are very PASSIONATE about the books. Most Twihards have read the books more than 2 or 3 times. It has nothing to do with the relationship status. I could care less if Rob and Kristine are together. I would still go see the movie regardless. What makes Harry Potter and The Hunger Games fans any better? That is a ridiculous statement!

Rob Patterson’s involontary charisma and the romance (?) on-off screen with his co-star. These two are horribly bad in the movies but they make dream and fantasize around , simple.

Outside of wanting to die over it…I agree with you. The books and acting are poor and the focus seems to be on this couples personal life. For many they are Bella and Edward off screen. Any time a book or people you do not know make you willing to insult someone? Something is very wrong in that and a terrible example for our youth. I do hope they break up and go their separate ways after this event. That way, we will be done with reading of all of it.
What about all the people obsessed with hating and insulting Twilight and its lead actors. People shouldn’t hate that much because some people like and enjoy Twilight. Surely there are other articles to comment on besides Twilight.
People should channel all the rage and hate they have of Twilight, OR whatever they hate, and use that to create their own book/movie series that will begat more haters.
A studio exec talking about the actors’ private lives while promoting ticket sales totally reassures me that this isn’t a publicity stunt.
In the event that it IS real? Stewart and Pattinson need to exert some control here, because they’re being exploited pretty blatantly and it’s making them look like a joke.

They made themselves look like a joke: her, for publicly cheating with whom she did it with and whom she did it on; and him, for taking her back…assuming he did.
I hate to break it to you, but actors date each other all the time, doesn’t matter whether it’s a high school musical or a big-budget movie. It would be dereliction of duty for producers and other execs to not have some kind of plan for how to deal with it. That’s not exploiting the actors’ relationship — that’s simply acknowledging the reality of the situation.
This exec that said, on deep background, “They’re kids. They break up, they get back together. They’re good,” was *NOT* exploiting Stewart and Pattinson — it was the exec saying nothing more and nothing less than the obvious. You couldn’t get a more evasive answer without saying “No comment,” which is only useful when you want to end the interview rather than continue with other topics related or even unrelated to the movie.
Actually an exec not even bringing the matter up would be the more “evasive” route. It’s obvious they’re selling this relationship to help the film. Which makes Stewart and Pattinson either look like PR whores if this is all fake. Or dumbasses who don’t care to be taken seriously as actors if this is real and they’re letting the studio exploit it.
These movies are extremely frontloaded. Breaking Dawn opened better than New Moon but New Moon remains the highest grosser of the saga despite inflation. Summit can expect the same (around 700 million), a good haul, for the last installment.
YAY! I love these films, screw the naysayers. Box office doesn’t lie, people love them! Everyone else shut up and go watch a Woody Allen film. ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

Twilight makes like 500-600 million dollars a movie, which is nothing compared to Harry Potters 1 billion dollars per movie. Oh and another difference is that Harry Potter is critically acclaimed, Twilight sucks.

Rob and Kristen have always marched to the sound of their own drum. They will end up doing whatever they feel like and they are young so they have ever right to.
The movies are bad. It’s a fact but you can’t stop watching bad movies otherwise you won’t realise which one’s are good. Am I ashamed that I watch them? Yes but I do enjoy watching them none the less…
Their entire fake relationship has been one long publicity stunt “their love is so real it took both of them by surprise and leaped off the screen into their hearts in real life” sure that’s what happened.
This has been the most meticulously engineered fake romance in the history of Hollywood it’s been brilliant every step of the way from the first movie until now with their big reunion so they can walk on the red carpet together. It’s certainly fooled all the Twihards they believe it’s a real romance.
The publicity team behind this deserves a lifetime achievement award because the truth is Rpatz and Kstew have artificial fake non-believable “chemistry” on screen and their body language in real life is even more telling. They are being paid very well to be seen together and everyone is making money with this charade.
See it before all the actors disappear into obscurity and reality tv. No real stars in this one folks. As for the showmance they weren’t the first and won’t be the last.
The only person with talent in these films were Bella’s high school friends (from the first film) and Billy Burke.
I find it so ironic that Anna Kendrick has a such small role in this film, but now the main trio should be aware that they have never had a tenth of her talent and they probably will never have a career like hers.

Next year they’ll say it’s because the DVD is coming out. Year after that its because the box special is coming out. After that it will be because Stephanie Meyer has a new project and they have to look like they are supporting her together. Get my drift? Some people will just never believe.

I know numbers don’t lie, but I find it hard to believe awareness is the biggest for this one. I remember back to the release of the original, “Twilight,” and everyone was talking about the books. The second one impressed with all the stories of people waiting in line to see it. I just don’t see that with this one, although I’m sure the fans are excited.

This is what I think is happening…there is no love relationship but they are and will always be friends. She helped him become famous and that choice of him caused his career to take off and earning him millions. So though she cheated, he is returning the favor by protecting her image as best he can.
I could be wrong but I must believe this in order to believe reality of having you girlfriend admit to the world she chose to dry hump a married old dude who was her boss in public for the world to see an acceptable standard for relationships. If it is anything other than that…then our world is just far more sicker than I ever wanted to learn.

Kristen admitted to a tryst because she had no choice. She and Sanders had been filmed, and it was too sensational a story to dismiss. Also it seems to me that her priority in this was to get out her side of the story that it was not premeditated and did not indicate any prior involvement with Sanders. It may have helped her win back Robert if they are indeed back together.
I don’t get the hate for Twilight which is nothing more than a little romance that women love. Why does it have to be compared to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings? Why are some people so hateful about others enjoying it? Shame on them for their small-mindedness and lack of respect for the opinions of others. Comic book films (not great literarture) are constantly held up as great art, but Twilight is so attacked all the time and that makes no sense to me at all.
Agree. The Twilight books and films are crap, but they are no worse than mindless action extravaganzas like the Tranformers series, and I don’t see those films’ fans getting trashed all over the internet. Lighten up, people.
I have read the Twilight books and seen the movies and love them. Most of my friends have seen the movies and have enjoyed them. Those who are complaining about the movies, actors, etc. need to realize that there are many more people that enjoy them than not, as can be confirmed by the huge sales in both books and movies. I am sure there are some movies and books that you complainers like and would not be too happy to have them bashed, as you are doing to Twilight. So, let those of us that are fans enjoy this time and the final movie. You are entitled to your opinion, but you do not have to bash or bring down the Twilight books, movies, actors or fans. Like what you like, but let us like what we like! All these negative attitudes are not a true reflection of the majority attitude about this series, as they are some of the best selling books and movies OF ALL TIME!!! Thank you.
That’s just plain silly !! When has a Twilight Saga movie EVER opened big and then disappeared?? There hasn’t been one! There is a reason that the 4 previous films has made over 2.5 BILLION DOLLARS world wide!
Yeah, still not in the top 10 highest grossing films of all time. Twilight only makes like 500-600 million dollars a movie, Harry Potter (The Highest Grossing Film Franchise of All Time) makes 1 billion dollars a movie. While Twilight films are all shit, Harry Potter films are all critically acclaimed. Harry Potter has made around 8 billion dollars… Twilight doesn’t seem so big anymore does it.
