A little over a year after he left ICM to join UTA as an agent in the TV Talent department, Mike Jelline has been promoted to co-head of the department. Jelline, who is based in Los Angeles, will co-run UTA‘s TV Talent department with current co-head Nancy Gates, who is based in the agency’s New York office. Ruthanne Secunda, who co-headed the TV talent team with Gates, will re-focus on client representation.
This marks Jelline’s return to administrative duty — he headed ICM’s TV Talent department before he left the agency last summer after 12 years. “Mike has been an outstanding addition to the UTA team over the past year, and we believe that Mike and Nancy will make an unbeatable team in continuing to build the department and to provide outstanding opportunities to artists working in television,” said UTA Managing Director Jay Sures.
Jelline’s client list includes Aaron Paul, Jimmy Smits, Jeremy Sisto, Vanessa Williams, Morena Baccarin, Maura Tierney, Jason O’Mara, Anne Heche, Dane Cook, John Leguizamo, Anna Gunn, Becki Newton, Janet Montgomery, Colin O’Donoghue, and Philip Winchester.

I work with Mike on one of the above mentioned clients. He is an excellent agent and honest. He is hard working, well read and honest. He deserves this promotion. No better agent in the business.
Great Agent, great guy, works hard for his clients and is honest and fair. Congratulations Mike!
Great move UTA. He is one of the best. As someone aptly said above, another one ICM couldn’t hold onto.
Jelline is a stud. He will excel in this role, as he did at ICM. Smart move for UTA.
Looks like Mike picked up some of my good habits, and none of my bad..
What luck! Great job buddy boy,, LOVE, DAD
Mike Jellin is fantastic. His client list is amazing and people love him. Ruthanne is also great and will excel at bringing in business. She is a gifted agent and well respected. Nancy Gates is also so lovely to deal with. UTA you have quitely put together the best TV talent dept in the business. Well done!
Wow Mike, congratulations! It’s a long way from the “double dial” days!
Congrats Mike from your hometown – Portland, Oregon!
Ruthanne Secunda “will re-focus on client representation…”
This is hilarious. She has no clients but was the only way to get her out of that position. Keep up the dog and horse shows RS! Meetings 25 late just aren’t the same without you.
