ABC has bought projects from Amanda Lasher (Gossip Girl) and Robert Horn (Teen Beach Musical) based on their experiences with family and parenthood.
Lasher’s Dirty Laundry, from 20th Century Fox TV, is a one-hour dramedy that explores the twisted underbelly of marriage and parenthood. Lasher, repped by UTA and manager Marc Provissiero, is executive producing with Jonathan Levin. Lasher, who began her career as a comedy writer, spent the last four years on the CW’s Gossip Girl, rising to co-executive producer.
Horn’s The Motherload, from Sony TV, is a mother-daughter comedy based on his real-life experiences of what it was like to begin a relationship with his family later in life. Horn executive produces with Lindy Ascher. Horn, repped by CAA and the Shuman Co, has extensive theater credits including musical 13. Ascher is with Tara Kole.

Way to go LINDY!!!!
Can’t wait to read pilot about Mother/Daughters written by a 50 something year old man.
You won’t be reading it. You will be watching it.
the twisted underbelly? since when? is marriage and parenthood that twisted that it has an underbelly? is it like illegal gambling or meth cooking? that kind of an underbelly?
Amanda Lasher is very talented and very lovely and deserves much success!
You know who finds your family life compelling? Your family. Full stop. Unless you walked on the moon or spent the 60′s as Castro’s personal chef no body cares about your life story.
Never in his wildest dreams was Castros’ personal chef as funny, smart or creative as Amanda Lasher. He’s probably awaiting this show as breathlessly as the rest of us.
Lindy is a great developer that has been hard at work going out on her own. Great to see her with a well deserved sale.
yeah amanda! yeah jonathan!
