From Preston Sturges and Billy Wilder to this. Thanks, Hollywood.
Well said…. re-hushing the same shit over and over again… sad state of screenwriting/film making these days…. thank for Foreign Language films to save my sanity…
These guys have one idea between them, huh? This looks shit, will be huge hit.
Ugh.
The Hangover 2 + (Superbad – funny) = this trailer
The “get down” part was the only semi-funny thing in this 3 minutes long trailer.
Will only see this if “comedy ensues”.
Bring it! Love it!
I have never seen anything like this before. Amazing. Groundbreaking. Original. Kudos to all.
Wow, this is garbage.
The idea that you have to celebrate your birthday on the exact day is old fashioned. “Dude, you have to….” is a lame premise which portends a lame comedy.
Wasn’t the running around getting wasted the night before the all important medical school interview (with a stern lecturing dad warning not to mess it up) the same plot of the first Harold and Kumar?
And didn’t they even have that same joke about “not all of us Asians know each other”
And… nevermind.
Is there actually an inverse relationship between success and talent in Hollywood or does it just seem that way.
Tee hee hee
Come on, people… It looks pretty funny to me.
Hangover meets Project X – Todd Phillips = B movie. But should do okay… there’s a market for this.
Did I become psychic or was every ‘joke’ in that trailer telegraphed, smoke signaled and utterly obvious? No, I’m not psychic, it’s just more studio garbage.
This looks amazing. You naysayers are idiots. Go back to writing your art film in your parents’ basement.
Listen up, HATERS. This looks like a LOT of fun. Relax about the ‘end of cinema’ and have a few laughs.
I couldn’t even finish 90 seconds of the trailer, nevermind subjecting myself to 90 minutes of this in a theater. I hope their next endeavor features a bunch of intoxicated farm animals that wake up in the beds of humans after a “killer night out.” That idea’s not a freebie, by the way.
Note to self, use same tried plot over and over again, add more nudity, drinking, and racism. Hollywood gold!
Looks amazing, but also looks like it’s going straight to video.
I was walking down a street in Seattle’s University District, near the University of Washington, and came across crew members from the shoot of “21 and Over.” Shooting the crap with them, they sounded like they would prefer to be in a Brazilian jungle prison having “the business” handed to them by some six-foot-ten body building inmate with no teeth, clammy hands and cesspool breath. Looking back, their words were a mere harbinger of the Den of Suck that was to come in, voila, this trailer. I second the poster above: what would Billy Wilder be thinking about this deluge of mediocrity and uninspired fare?
Do we need to see the movie now? Everything was in the trailer.
the pitch meeting:
“so, as you know, we wrote ‘the hangover.” this would be a younger version of that with college students except instead of a wedding, it’s a med school interview.”
“we’ll send the contracts to your agents.”
“cool. do you validate?”
yea that was funny and jeff chang looks like our next john cho
yuck
Why? Money? Nah. Really…why?
The most painful 2:49 of my life. I’ll take a root canal next time, thanks.
