EXCLUSIVE: Atlanta is emerging as Bravo‘s hottest reality series setting. The highest-rated show of the Real Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, takes place there, as does its spinoff starring Kim Zolciak. Now Bravo has greenlighted two new unscripted series that have Hotlanta as a backdrop: Married To Medicine and Taking Atlanta. Additionally, the network has renewed Zolciak’s Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding for a second season, shortening its title to Don’t Be Tardy…
Taking Atlanta (working title) follows a group of aspiring and ambitious Atlanta locals as they make their mark in the arenas of fashion, music, hospitality and real estate while exploring the city’s sizzling social scene and balancing the demands of their tumultuous family situations. NFGTV and Monami Entertainment produce, with Toby Barraud, Stefan Springman and Mona Scott-Young serving as executive producers.
Married To Medicine follows a group of successful and educated women, including doctors and wives of doctors, who are connected to the world of medicine in Atlanta and do everything with style, drama, and of course, Southern flair. The series is produced by FremantleMedia North America and developed by Purveyors of Pop with Matt Anderson, Nate Green and Maty Buss serving as executive producers.
Season 2 of Don’t Be Tardy… follows Real Housewives Of Atlanta standout Zolciak and Kroy Biermann in the next phase of their marriage, which involves the demands of their ever-growing family, purchasing their dream house, and a possible adoption. The renewal of the show, from True Entertainment, comes as Bravo revealed Zolciak is leaving The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, and this week’s episode will be her last.

Yawn!…
BRAVO sure knows how to squeeze a lemon! give it a rest. You’ve tried in Miami…failed..and now Atlanta, really?..
all of my friends (female and male) in medicine are so dedicated to their time consuming profession that i can’t believe who would sacrifice their ethics and dedication for this..be it unless you are someone like that ‘opening of an envelope’ dentist Karent whatever…real people in medicine do not have time and or energy to be followed 24/7..
So is Taking Dallas, taking San Francisco & Taking Miami far behind? All bravo shows are beginning to look and sound alike. Bunch of fame w***es looking for game and knowing they better mix it up, get into fights, cause drama or they will get replaced..
Taking Atlanta sounds like its going to be a real TV show about real people. Cant wait.
Awesome. How did they think of that idea? It’s amazing no one’s done it. Not in Atlanta anyway. Inspiring!
Wow Bravo really needs to rethink what new show to do and relocate soon….this will be the burning of Atlanta again…no will want to go there for all the fake drama or if they do it will to get a reality show!!! Bravo…give it break already.
With Top Chef now having crested after a long, admirable run, Bravo doesn’t have a single series other than Housewives that does above-average ratings. They’re giving up on their own creative team’s ideas — only choice must be to rip off Vh1′s hits.
I am looking forward to Seeing Married to Medicine. I will be nice to see educated professional women at their best!
I’m looking forward to Married to Medicine. With the various doctor shows on, it would be nice to see a reality version of it. Kudos Bravo!!!
Looking forward to Married 2 Medicine I just hope that the drama is not petty & has some sort of meaning. Hope the wives are hot & the docs have that flare of the A..
