Great News! As we all know(tongue firmly in cheek) there seems to be a genuine lack of court shows on tv.
They could make it twice as unnecessary by having the judge host a talk show in the second half-hour!
Byron Allen is a genius. Congratulations on knowing what networks will buy and ignoring unemployed people who “think” they know what people want.
Oh, please. Byron Allen doesn’t know anything other than making awful TV. He’s a failed comedian and while he makes a living distributing garbage, none of his programming is even D grade quality. He has some of the lowest brow TV there possibly can be. Also, if you knew how he really did his business, you would realize networks aren’t BUYING his shit at all. He gives it to them for free and sells ad space on his own. So, no, networks aren’t buying his stuff. He gives it away because that’s the only way they will actually take that awful programming. Kudos to him for making money and running the equivalent of a sweatshop with TV.
Broadcast or syndication, it doesn’t seem to matter much anymore. Programming decisions by network executives have once again proven to be incredibly below average.
And only Byron Allen will admit the viewers need more of this crap, while half of his shows are barely making a 1 rating now and yet he claims they’re doing well. A nice guy, but starting to get a bit delusional on his part when it comes to program development.
Byron Allen is putting together content that makes air and makes money at it, while Deadline trolls snark and talk shit on a blog for free.
Here we go again. From the mastermind behind ” comics unleashed” comes-ANOTHER piece of you know what!
I must have a life, because I haven’t heard of any of his courtroom shows. The only thing I know him from is late-night showings of Comics Unleashed episodes from 10 years ago. Sometimes I’ll catch it while flipping through channels only to stop and ask, ‘Didn’t he/she die five years ago? How old is this rerun?’
