Comedy Central has handed sketch comedy series Key & Peele a third-season renewal. The 13-episode third cycle of the show starring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will premiere next fall. Key & Peele was a breakout hit when it launched in January. Its Season 2 finale airs tomorrow night. The show has been taking on politics, recently weighing in on the Presidential campaign with its popular recurring skit featuring President Obama’s fictitious ‘anger translator’ Luther. “Since Obama won re-election, it only seems fair that we would give Key & Peele another season,” said Comedy Central’s head of original programming Kent Alterman. Added Key and Peele, “We are so thrilled about the pickup and want to thank Comedy Central for four more years! “Oh wait, what’s that? One more year? Oh….ok, that will work too.” Key & Peele is created by and stars Key and Peele and is executive produced by Key, Peele, Ian Roberts, Jay Martel and Joel Zadak.

These guys play to the top of their intelligence! Great show week in and week out! And with all due respect to Jay Pharaoh the best Obama impression is Jordan Peele.
This show should have been cancelled after the first season. I’m glad it wasn’t. This season they found their stride and produced some intensely funny comedy (dub step, East West Football intros). It made so much of an improvement that I am now reticent to condemn anything from year one.
Love this show and the guys behind it!! Excited to see what Season 3 will bring!
Thrilled for these guys success, they are smart, push the boundaries and totally inventive!! This is what the attempted IN LIVING COLOR reboot on Fox should have looked like instead of the lazy, half assed
abortion Keenen Wayans turned in.
Excited to see what they have in store.
Nice! The guys on this show, on camera and behind it, are as talented as any group of people working today. And they’re all great people — nice guys, who work their asses off to do good work.
congratulations — keep it coming!
Uncle Tom comedy. Caters to that cell phone era of kids who use racial overtones as jokes in their circle of friends. You know, the throw-up clips by Tosh kinda of audience. The people in them and the ones who actually enjoy them kinda of clips people.
um… up yours?
That’s a hell of a thing to say from the protection of Anonymity — racist, offensive and mean. If you really think that, post your name, coward.
Lame…..bring back Chappelle.
I find Key to be very funny, but Peele – not at all.
I like the show, glad it got picked up.
wow….3rd season..never even heard of this show.
Almost as good as chappele show
It’s ashame the “Season” is only 13 episodes long. Back in the day when celebrities worked on any sitcom, the standard was 39 episodes.
In Living Color was the best black comedy series of all times with some of the brightest stars shining like Jim Carrey and the Wayans Bros., Tommy Davidson and David Alan Grier!
