Erica Hill will join NBC’s Weekend Today as co-anchor alongside Lester Holt, news anchor Jenna Wolfe, and meteorologist Dylan Dreyer beginning Sunday, NBC News president Steve Capus said today. Hill also has been named an NBC News national correspondent, and she will report for Today, NBC Nightly News and MSNBC. “Erica’s extraordinary track record as a journalist has proven that she can cover everything from hard news to pop culture with ease and professionalism,” he said. Wolfe is expanding her role to Saturday’s and Sunday’s broadcasts, and Dreyer will also contribute to MSNBC. The move comes a couple of weeks after reports surfaced that Hill, the former CBS Morning Show co-host, was coming aboard at NBC. She was replaced by Norah O’Donnell over the summer at CBS as the last member of the team remaining after the network’s revamp of the show. She previously worked on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.

How wonderful that Erica Hill has joined NBC. She is one sweet, intelligent lady and I see nothing indicating that Jenna Wolfe is leaving. NBC is SMART in making this move. I have stopped watching CBS because of Gayle King and Charlie Rose. Thanks NBC, you have made an amazing choice.

involved somehow with Gayle going to CBS. Years ago when Gayle lived in CT, Oprah got her friend set-up with a job at a local
tv station. Gayle was in – and a popular news anchor was gone.
Oprah supposedly bought Gayle and her then-husband a house and was
paying the guy’s college tuition.

Jenna was not mature, did not care for her work. Don’t know much about Erica but she seems right for the show, when I watch the news I am uninterested in child like personalities, I watch Family Guy for adults acting like kids.
I like the change. Erica is great. I find Jenna to be over the top and annoying. It’s ok ti be competitive, but Jenna can bring it down a few notches.

Hill tries to overshadow lester and that is not cool. He is my favorite anchor and i want to see more of him. He had fun with amy and jenna.second nbc mistake. Still love ann curry.

What great news! Finally someone saw the great potential and intelligence with excellent attributes that Erica has. Not to mention her gracious and ladylike manners with a big smile that complements her personality.If you have it, nobody can take it away from you. Congratulations NBC for this new change.

Jenna & Lester have a chemistry together; please bring her back with Lester on the weekend TODAY show. Together they made the show fun to watch and brought some laughter back into our lives, after listening to gloom and doom all week long. Americans really need this more positive note on the weekends. I’m sorry to say that Erica’s voice is grating; it’s difficult for me to listen to her and there certainly isn’t that “something” that clicks with Lester. I always looked forward to the weekend edition of the TODAY show, but not any longer. BRING JENNA BACK PLEASE!!!
You made a mistake by replacing Jenna. You need to give her the co-anchor job back. With the competition out there you need the edge Jenna gives.

HUGE MISTAKE!! Eric comes off as such a bitch i can’t watch her… She’s even rude to Dylan (unreal). Jenna was so awesome as co and had such chemistry with Lester. Why on earth would you make this change? Who did the witch do to get this? I need to try GMA. I will miss Lester, Jenna and Dylan. Damn this sucks..

I have been wondering if anyone feels the way I do about Erika. This morning I finally decided to do a search and BINGO – I found this site! I’m sorry, I don’t like to say negative things about people but…what in the heck is the Today show thinking? I don’t believe that this new addition compares at all to the quality of current and past co-anchors on Today. No way! I loved Lester and Jenna together (Lester rocks!), and I have been trying to keep an open mind about Erika, but I really can’t take anymore…boring! And whoever chooses her wardrobe should be fired. I thought I was a Today Show Lifer, and who knows, if changes are made maybe I will be back.
I am so glad you hired Erica Hill. I loved her on CBS and couldn’t believe she was let go. I think she is really terrific. I actually like everyone on Today Weekend. It is a perfect foursome!!!
