Here is a clip from the new TruTV singing competition Killer Karaoke. The series begins airing in November, and my question is: was this Steve-O hosted show specifically mentioned among the ancient apocalyptic Mayan prophecies that the world will end later this year?

I’ve never been to Hell, but I imagine this is pretty close.
This was the last, best idea left in Hollywood. It’s over, we’re done. No more ideas. Saved the best for last, amirite??
TRU TV home of the stupidest most idiotic programming. This they greenlight? Development execs should be ashamed of themselves
Ooohhh this show looks like a winner. This is the next logical step in reality television. One part Fear Factor and one part American Idol. Ooohhh it’s really good. I wish I was the host and the producer. Killer Karaoke. I wish I thought of this instead of Wheel of Fortune. Ooohhh.
this is FANTASTIC. reminds me of a japanese game show.
you work on the show?
Next up on Tru, watch teenagers hunt each other in a forest with bows and arrows, live at ten, nine central!
this is a format from Europe, called Sing If You Can, despite what wikipeida tells you, it is not a UK show, however we do have our own version.
Your post brought to mind “Wheel of Fish” from the movie “UHF”.
That was actually funny. It intended to be funny and laughable. And it was. It’s stupid and idiotic. But was funny.
I agree. I will not watch the show but that was funny.
There’s no way they’re getting the rights to the Hunger Games series.
I hate myself but I laughed.
This is why the world hates us.
I would rank this way, way, WAY, above any houswives show or the Kardashians or the Voice or pretty much 90% of reality TV. This show is meant only for laughs, and it gets them. It’s not masquerading people around strictly to be famous or rich. It’s not pitting wanna be superstars against each other then string out their so-called careers. It’s not hiring people who became empty caricatures of themselves a decade ago to judge everyday people with actual dreams.
I find it funny that this gets people up in a tizzy when there are shows on TV that actually do harm to society.
What’s sad is that there are much more “objectionable” TV shows/films than this.
What’s sad is that it’s entertaining and funny and I will set my DVR.
No, what’s sad is that so many people are so desperate for a chance at fame that they’ll subject themselves to this in order to get it. I think if you got rid of anyone who has appeared or is willing to appear on any reality show, the world would be a better place.
Outside of my concerns for the well-being of the fauna participating, I don’t find this to be any more objectionable than the old Art Linkletter bit about reaching into a box to find “two white rats” and having them turn out to be the ones ladies use to puff up their hair.
eh, it was dumb-funny. I’ll watch for the ‘best of’ on youtube.
I find it fascinating how most of television has basically deteriorated into glorified public access tv. This show looks like the biggest waste of time and can’t believe I even used up my precious minutes watching the trailer. And on another note, what does this have to do with Tru TV? Maybe I haven’t watched the channel in a long time, but this seems like a show for Comedy Central or Spike. I’d rather wash dishes than watch this dreck.
DOA
looks boring. will only be the same each show. but still look at how well shows like honey booboo does. it will do fine in america.
Not that I’m complaining, but what exactly does the assistant do? I mean I can imagine what she does behind the scenes, but officially?
Haha – OK this is ridiculous, idiotic, but kinda funny.
Not something I’d watch, but really this has gotta be better then X Factor/ American Idol/ The Voice, etc… HASEN’T IT?!?!?
LMAOOO!!! THIS IS HILARIOUS!!! everybody complaining must be like 50 years old or something. chill people enjoy something for once!
