Universal has set a day-and-date IMAX release for Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables in the UK. The film will be digitally remastered in the IMAX format and released in digital IMAX theaters on January 11, the same day its local wide release kicks off. Advance tickets for the feature adaptation of the stage musical go on sale in Britain this Saturday, December 1. Pre-booking and IMAX details are still to be confirmed for additional territories. The film, which got a huge reaction after industry screenings last weekend, opens in North America on December 25.
